🔽Prisoner Hassan Salama spoke about the reaction of the resistance fighters when they learned the news of the martyrdom of engineer Yahya Ayyash

I cannot describe those moments. One of the brothers called me on January 5, 1996. He was responsible for the engineer’s departure to the West Bank and work at the border.


On that day, he was in the central Gaza Strip area, and he told me about the martyrdom of Al-Ayyash, and to inform the rest of the brothers in Khan Yunis, but I did not receive a call from him due to a certain glitch,” Salama says.

He added: "But I learned of the news of the martyrdom hours later, and I immediately informed Abu Khaled Al-Deif and the pursuers in Khan Yunis, and we headed to Gaza, where we meet. We entered the house and found a large group of persecutors sitting alone, and everyone was crying,

“It is very difficult, and everyone feels responsible. Everyone is crying for you, Abu Al-Baraa, and they do not know whether to cry for you or for themselves... I say these words as if the scene is happening now, and it has not escaped my mind and will remain in my memory no matter how many years pass.”

“When men cry, know that the matter is serious, and indeed the injured person was serious,” says Hassan Salama, and continued:

Fifthly: The Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces fought fierce battles with the "israeli" enemy forces on the advance axis in the Al-Maghraqa area, south of Gaza City, targeting one of the enemy's vehicles with a "B7" caliber shell, hitting its target accurately, causing those inside it to fall between dead and wounded.
