After sustained direct action, the Israeli weapons maker was forced to sell due to increased security costs which cut their profits by 75%.

Actions against the factory included occupying their roof, dismantling the site, ripping out the roof tiles and letting the rain destroy the inside.

The new owners wrote to Palestine Action to confirm the factory is no longer associated with Elbit and have discontinued all arms manufacturing contracts.

Each actionist who occupied and dismantled Tamworth's Israeli weapons factory did so in order to bring an end to Israel's weapons trade and to end the profiteering from Palestinian repression.
