“Abu Mutaybeq” military site operation:
It took place on July 19, 2014, which was the 22nd of Ramadan, and it was a landing operation behind the occupation lines through a tunnel that reached the jungle area behind the Abu Mutaybiq military site, east of the Central Governorate on the borders of the Gaza Strip.
With the aim of planting an ambush for a patrol of jeeps carrying military commanders, engaging them and finishing them off, it resulted in the killing of 8 soldiers and two M16 weapons, and 3 jeeps were destroyed, and the fighters returned to their bases safely.
Israel at the time admitted that only 4 out of 8 soldiers had been killed
One of the fighters who participated refused to disclose his illness so as not to be deprived of participating in the operation due to his illness
Al-Qassam produced a short documentary about this operation in 2015, and scenes documented by the fighters’ cameras were shown in the film.
