The Supreme Court agreed to the government's request for another three days to formulate its response to petitions asking the government to begin recruiting ultra-Orthodox men of military age.
After the law regulating their exemption from military service expired last year, the government issued a decision instructing government agencies not to apply the draft law to Haredi men while the new law is drafted.
This provision expires on March 31st.
In February, the government announced that it would submit its response by March 24, detailing how to resolve the highly charged political and social issue of ultra-Orthodox military service.
The government now has until March 27 to submit its response.
