It’s sad that civilians were killed at Riyadh airport.
Civilians and civilian infrastructure should never be targeted or used for military purposes in any war.
Yemeni and Saudi civilians and airports deserve equal rights. Attacks on either should be condemned equally.
Saudi Arabia bombed Sanaa Airport repeatedly for hundreds of times.
The following is a list of Saudi airstrikes on Yemen from 2015 to 2022

5 reasons why Syria will not send troops to Yemen.
If Saudi Arabia claims that it stands with the Yemeni people against a Yemeni faction that took control of the Yemeni capital, why does Saudi Arabia need foreign fighters to fight it?
If Yemenis support Saudi Arabia and its “Yemeni” government based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia should not need foreign fighters. Unless it has failed to find enough Yemenis, out of a population of over 40 million Yemenis, willing to fight for Saudi objectives.
Back to the headline
It is in Syria’s interest not to send any fighters or get involved in Yemen.
1- This is a Saudi-Yemeni war.
Although Iran supports Ansar Allah, and the two are close allies, Ansar Allah is not an Iranian proxy. The conflict between the Imamate and the republic in Yemen is older than the Iranian Revolution.
2- Saudi Arabia and the UAE are the main sponsors of the counterrevolutions that overturned the aspirations of Arab populations, and Yemen is just another extension of their interference.
The moment Washington changes its tone toward the new Syria, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf “states” will change their attitude toward Syria accordingly.
3- Washington’s lifting of sanctions on Syria is temporary and conditional on how far Syria complies with American demands.
Meanwhile, America’s ally occupies southern Syria and occasionally targets Syrian citizens in Syria.
The sanctions were lifted so they could be placed again as a punishment against the Syrian government.
Had the sanctions remained in place, the government might eventually have adapted to them, just as the Syrian population had already adapted to living under sanctions.
But allowing people to experience life without sanctions and then reimposing them could turn public anger against the new Syrian regime.
that is the reason they were lifted.
Washington and its Gulf allies getting bogged down in Bab al-Mandab, the Strait of Hormuz, and their confrontation with Iran is in Syria’s interest
4- Following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the Yemeni government in Sanaa’s threats against Saudi ports, and the instability in the Red Sea, Syria has become an alternative transit route for oil to the Mediterranean (Iraq already transports oil through Syrian ports).
And that is in Syria’s interest
5- Syria should be more concerned about its present and future threats than its past adversaries, and getting involved in Yemen would only serve the interests of those who currently threaten it.

It’s good to see some people condemning the 12 civilian casualties at Riyadh airport.
We should condemn every attack targeting civilians
But why the hypocrisy?
Where is your condemnation of Saudi attacks targeting Yemeni civilians and residential neighborhoods
