π»Hamas leader Osama Hamdan to Al-Jazeera:
β
Our stance is to side with the interests of the Palestinian people.
Our proposal emphasizes ending the aggression, the enemy's withdrawal, and the start of relief operations.
The occupation tries to shift focus to the prisoners' issue to circumvent the matter of ending the aggression.
Our negotiation paper is realistic and has shown high flexibility.
The "israeli" side sees no realistic proposal other than the removal of the Palestinian people.
We proposed guarantor states for the agreement in addition to mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and the United States.
The occupation reveals its true intentions with the operation in Rafah, which is to carry out a genocide.
The day after the Gaza battle is distinctively Palestinian, and it is not permissible for the occupation or its sponsors to tamper with it.
We are making every possible effort and negotiating with all parties to prevent an attack on Rafah.
Anyone who agrees to be an agent for the occupation in the matter of the day after in Gaza must bear the consequences of their choice.
The exchange of prisoners must take place, but not at the expense of the core issues, foremost of which is stopping the aggression.

Saeed Ziad, a Palestinian in Gaza, writes:
A few herbs, it is not known what they are, are boiled in a pot until they dissolve, then eaten with a spoon without bread or rice, along with some olives and lemon, if any!
This is the iftar meal that the people of northern Gaza have been eating since the first day of Ramadan, without fake tables or fancy pictures.
This is what my family lives on, whose mouths have forgotten the taste of bread.
Their supplication at iftar is for God to perpetuate the blessing, relieve distress, and take revenge on every oppressor and negligent person.
Woe to you if their prayers include you

The IOF says that last night, Palestinian gunmen opened fire at Gazan civilians waiting for aid at Kuwait Square in Gaza City, leading to casualties. It says IDF troops did not open fire at any stage during the incident.
According to the IOFs probe, a convoy of 31 trucks containing food and other humanitarian aid for civilians made its way to northern Gaza.
An hour before the convoy arrived to an IOF-established corridor, armed Palestinians opened fire while civilians were waiting for the aid trucks, the probe finds.
"As aid trucks were entering [the corridor], the Palestinian gunmen continued to shoot as the crowd of Gazans began looting the trucks," the IDF says, adding that it also identified several civilians being run over by the trucks.
Hamas health officials said at least 21 people were killed and more than 150 were wounded in the incident.
The IOF says that after conducting an "intensive preliminary review," it found that "the IOF did not open fire at the aid convoy at Kuwait Square."
"A review of our operational systems and IOF troops [on the ground] found that no tank shelling, airstrike or gunfire was carried out toward the Gazan crowd in the area of the aid convoy," the military says.
