Hamas is following with deep concern the war taking place in the region and once again affirms its strong condemnation of the American-Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which violates the rules of international law and international humanitarian law and threatens security and peace in the region and the world.
The movement stresses that the interest of the Islamic nation and the region is to stop this war, and it calls on all countries and international organizations to work to halt it immediately.
The movement also appreciates all the efforts made by various countries to prevent its outbreak and to prioritize the language of dialogue and diplomacy.
While the movement affirms the right of the Islamic Republic of Iran to respond to this aggression by all available means in accordance with international norms and laws, it calls on the brothers in Iran not to target neighboring countries, and calls on all countries in the region to cooperate to stop this aggression and preserve the bonds of brotherhood among them.

the current Hamas political approach to Arab proxy regimes is not helpful to their cause.
It only gives legitimacy to them when they are praised by Hamas in its statements (the “brotherly Egyptian, the brotherly Jordanian…”), since in the Arab streets Hamas is the legitimacy.
The same “brotherly Arab regimes” that besieged Gaza (the Egyptian and Jordanian), armed and trained Israeli proxy militias in Gaza (UAE and Egypt), and launched a nonstop media campaign against Hamas and Gaza (Saudi state-owned media).
The same “brotherly Arab regimes” imams who called Hamas non-Muslims and deviants (Gulf imams) are what Hamas is calling brotherly and saying they should not be attacked.
In Hamas defense, since Arabs have no free territory to practice their political activism from in the occupied Arab entities, a divorce with the American proxies is a death political sentence.
Many Arabs hoped free syria host dissidents, including the Hamas political bureau, but Syria has chosen a non-confrontational path with the US, the sponsor of the Arab dictatorships.
Which it seems one of the US and its client regimes demands from the new Syrian leadership.
In the statement Hamas requested Iran not to strike the gulf states without naming them, and ignored mentioning the existence of US bases that are used both logisticallly and in attack against Iran as they were used against Gaza.
And the fact that the Hamas political bureau is in Qatar, next to the largest US base in the region, Al Udeid Air Base, under American permission, and perhaps even an order to facilitate negotiations, since negotiation is the end goal of every war, gives this statement additional context.

Qatar is the link between what the US considers terrorists and the US itself.
If the US wants negotiations or an end to one of its wars, it is Qatar that it uses.
It was Qatar that called the Taliban and told them to open an office in Doha to negotiate with the US.

Would the US want a Taliban office in Doha, next to its largest military base in the region, if it did not want to negotiate a withdrawal from Afghanistan?
