A whistle-blower claims a former DOGE Service engineer took highly sensitive Social Security data when leaving the government for a private job.
The data allegedly came from two major databases containing records on over 500 million Americans, both living and deceased ,including Social Security numbers, birth details, and family information.
According to the complaint, the engineer said he had the data on a thumb drive and wanted help transferring it to his personal computer so he could “sanitize” it before using it at his new company.
The whistle-blower also claims the engineer believed he might receive a presidential pardon if the action was illegal.
