🔻 Officials in Yemen announced an initiative to open the Sanaa–Sarwah–Marib road on 22 February.

The strategic road has been closed since 2015. It links Yemen’s capital, Sanaa – administered by the Ansarallah resistance movement – to the country’s energy-rich province of Marib, part of which is controlled by the Saudi-backed Islah Party.

The initiative aims to improve ties between Ansarallah and forces loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, as well as alleviate the suffering of citizens living under blockade.

“The initiative comes as a goodwill from the leadership of the local authority … and is a first stage that will be followed by stages to open the rest of the roads,” said Ali Muhammad Taiman, an Ansarallah-affiliated governor in one of the Marib province’s several governorates.

1- At 9:30, the Regional Council headquarters in the Kiryat Shmona settlement was targeted with two assault marches that hit their target precisely, as a response to the attacks on southern villages and civilian homes, the most recent of which was the attack on the Civil Defense Center in Blida.
2- At 16:20, the Ruwaisat Al-Alam site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms was targeted with missile weapons, causing direct hits.
3- At 16:30, the radar site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms was targeted with missile weapons, causing direct hits.

Groups demand answers from the US on why Israel was allowed into visa programme, despite claims of discrimination against Palestinian Americans.

Several rights and civil liberties groups on Friday filed a lawsuit in US court demanding that the American government comply with a request for information regarding the recent agreement to allow Israel into the visa waiver programme.

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, submitted in October by the law firm Van Der Hout LLP, sought information from several federal agencies on Israel's memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the US, which entered the country into the US's visa waiver initiative.

The firm said it received no information regarding its request and had not heard from the Biden administration since November.
