Statement Regarding the continued detention of the movement’s leader
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you:
The leadership of the 25th of January Revolutionaries Movement would like to inform all brothers following and concerned with Egyptian affairs about the current situation of the movement’s leader:
1. Mr. Ahmed Al-Mansour remains under security detention in the capital, Damascus, since Tuesday, January 14, 2025, up until the time of writing this statement.
2. He has not been allowed to contact his family.
3. Several leaders among Egyptian migrants, including scholars and Mujahideen in Syria, have attempted to communicate with the Syrian revolutionary government, but no response has been received so far.
4. Mr. Ahmed Al-Mansour has undergone extensive security interrogations to examine the details of his life, relationships, and ideas.
5. The security authorities offered Mr. Ahmed Al-Mansour release under two primary conditions:
• The first condition: Refraining from any advocacy, political, or media roles, whether related to the Egyptian crisis or other matters.
• The second condition: Deleting all tweets, videos, and media content he has published regarding the Egyptian crisis before his release.
6. Mr. Ahmed Al-Mansour accepted the first condition but categorically rejected the second, justifying his refusal by stating that the media content now belongs to the Egyptian people and public opinion, as evidenced by the unprecedented interaction with it. He also emphasized that this content has become part of the history of the Egyptian people’s struggle against their military oppressors.

Abu Sisi was a deputy engineer for the Gaza Stip electrical plant which provided 25% of Gaza’s power, and a weapons engineer for Hamas.
In February 2011, he traveled to Ukraine, where his wife was from and applied for citizenship in order to protect his 6 children but he later disappeared after being abducted by the Mossad.
On April 4, 2011 he was indicted for his work for Hamas and was convicted on March 30, 2015 in a plea bargain.
