Hebrew newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth":

- The 4 soldiers were killed by a powerful explosive device in Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip.

After detonating the explosive device in the military convoy, the resistance fighters opened fire on the forces.

- The operation that killed 4 soldiers in Beit Hanoun, resulted in the injury of 5 other soldiers.

The army is investigating the possibility that the resistance fighters reached the site of the attack on the soldiers through a tunnel that has not yet been discovered.

The operation targeted a command convoy headed by the deputy commander of the Nahal Brigade, while the convoy was crossing a road that was supposed to be safe for the army.
