The brigadier general in charge of recruiting the Haredim in the Israeli army, Major General David Zini, was attacked last night in the city of Bnei Brak, along with his assistant, a major, while they were sitting in one of the city’s restaurants.
Dozens of ultra-Orthodox Jews gathered around them, chanted slogans and threw bottles. Police arrived at the scene and had to rescue the two officers from the incident.
Three of the ultra-Orthodox attackers were detained for police investigation.

- Our son Amr was subjected to severe torture by the PA security forces, which led to the breaking of his limbs, after he was arrested from his home in Jenin. Despite his lawyer’s request to release him on bail, the court rejected the request, and the security committee continued to prevent communication with him until January 8.
