Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya was seen in Sde Teiman detention camp by two released hostages, Mohammad Al-Ramlawi and Mustafa Hassouna, on December 29, 2024.

They are now in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza. Their testimonies corroborate previous accounts from Yahya Zaqqout, Ahmad Saleem, and Alaa Abu Banat, who were also released on December 29, 2024, and reported that Dr. Hussam was beaten and insulted.
