The legal action against BP is for negligence in facilitating oil supply to “Israel” amid ongoing human rights violations! It also involves the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline Company (BTC Co) – and therefore has repercussions for Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye.

The claim alleges complicity in fuelling ongoing violations of international law and human rights in Gaza and focuses on BP’s continued supply and facilitation of crude oil to Israel via the BTC Pipeline, a critical infrastructure operated and majority-owned by BP.

This is groundbreaking because:

1️⃣It’s a civil case and therefore the Crown Prosecution Service and/or the UK government can NOT stop it

2️⃣The standard of proof required for a civil case is lower than a criminal one, and therefore more likely to succeed

3️⃣It directly hits the pockets of those financing the genocide for profit, as “Israel” awarded a concession to BP for the Leviathan gas field

4️⃣If successful, it will create a binding precedent
