Today, we commemorate the martyrdom of Al Mayadeen's correspondent, Farah Omar, and videographer Rabih Me'mari, who were killed by an occupation airstrike in South Lebanon.

The deliberate attack targeted them moments after they completed a live broadcast, silencing journalistic voices that dared to reveal the truth and expose crimes.

On the first anniversary of their deaths, Ghassan Ben Jeddou, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Mayadeen, shared a heartfelt message, extending his condolences to their families and colleagues at Al Mayadeen.

Ben Jeddou praised Farah's "vitality, and her distinguished rise in journalism through her competence, dedication, and sincerity," until she "became a martyr on the path to Al-Quds." He affirmed that her memory will live on "in the history of Lebanese, Arab, and global journalism."

Reflecting on Rabih, Ben Jeddou described him as someone who "can only be remembered with goodness," a colleague who "filled the channel with warmth and true bravery."
