Western, Israeli-Linked Ships Pay 50% Extra Insurance Premiums for Red Sea

War underwriters are now charging ships linked to U.S, British and Israeli companies as much as 50% extra in war risk premiums to navigate the Red Sea, with other providers avoiding such business altogether due to the persistent threat of attacks by Yemen's Houthis.

🔻 Indonesian Navy hospital ship "KRI dr. Radioman Wedyodiningrat" crossed Bab el Mandeb, and is heading north in the Red Sea.

The hospital ship is carrying 80 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid, including diapers, clothes for children and adults, jackets, various types of foods and medicines, and blankets.

The ship is expected to arrive at its destination on Feb 14th, once it arrives the aid will be handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent for transportation to Rafah, the closest entry point to Gaza, Palestine.

This is the ship's first voyage outside Indonesian waters since its launch in August 2022. The ship is sailing with 214 crew members, including 40 special officers of the Navy.

The sirens was not activated, and few rockets hit their targets. The settlers are asked to stay in shelters, and three main roads have been closed to “civilians”.

🔻 An article published recently in the Guardian has criticized the insensitive mainstream feminism discourse towards the suffering of the Palestinian women.

While the points made in the article are totally valid, the apologetic nature (Gaza voted for Hamas 18 years ago, group punishment) fell short of pointing out the preposterous hypocrisy of Western feminism, which considers forcing a woman to wear Hijab in Iran as more oppressive than bulldozing a pregnant Palestinian mother on her way to a hospital. The same feminism that awards a nobel peace prize for women fighting for education but totally ignores those who are struggling to not be buried alive following indiscriminate bombing.
For these feminists, their western values are more important than the livelihoods of non-Western women. Another ugly truth that Al-Aqsa flood has revealed.
