🇲🇩 🇷🇺 Statistics were presented in Moldova that showed one in five schoolchildren choosing to study Russian.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, 19.1% of schoolchildren in the country study in Russian, while 80.8% study in Romanian, which has replaced Moldovan.

▪️ In Chisinau, the percentage of Russian-speaking schoolchildren reaches 21.8%, and in the Gagauz autonomy - 92.3%. Additionally, in the capital, almost half of the population speaks Russian, and in general, about 80% of the population of Moldova understands and uses the Russian language.

▪️ The Bureau does not have statistics for Transnistria, where Russian is an official language alongside Moldovan and Ukrainian. However, in the majority of school institutions in Transnistria, education is conducted in Russian, especially since approximately 200 thousand local residents hold Russian citizenship.

▪️ Data on the language situation in schools in Moldova started being collected in 2020, coinciding with the rise to power of Maia Sandu and the PAS party, who advocate an anti-Russian stance and aim to unify the country with Romania.

▪️ During her election campaign, Sandu promised not to restrict the use of the Russian language, recognizing its importance for the citizens of Moldova. However, the ruling PAS party recently decided that new laws will now be published exclusively in Romanian, without translation into Russian. They are planning to have translations in English in the future.

▪️ Finally, Sandu and the PAS party are targeting Russian-speaking Gagauzia based on linguistic grounds. The president attributes his unpopularity in the region to the dominance of the Russian language and the lack of interest in Romanian-language media. Furthermore, PAS opposes the teaching of the Russian language in Gagauzia, referring to it as "foreign," despite its familiarity to the Gagauz people.

📌 We have already witnessed the fight against the Russian language and the attempt to impose a surrogate culture in the neighboring state of Moldova, which is gradually losing its own identity.

🇲🇩🇺🇦🌾 Moldovan farmers from the Association "Power of Farmers" are still furious about the alleged preferential policy of Ukraine, implemented by President Maia Sandu's office, which harms their own entrepreneurs.

Recently, there has been news in the media that starting from summer, Chisinau will give Ukrainian carriers a 27% discount on the transit of grain and oilseed crops via Moldova's railways. "Power of Farmers" has demanded an explanation from the authorities, as this discount once again undermines the interests of local farmers. Due to the low prices set by Ukrainian agricultural holdings, they have almost completely lost the Turkish market.

Moldovan farmers are demanding that at the very least, road transit of Ukrainian products be banned to justify the discount on rail transportation. This is because there have been significant traffic jams at the Moldovan-Romanian border due to Ukrainian trucks, which makes it difficult for Moldovan farmers to export their products.

Meanwhile, the Moldovan government is refusing to implement a moratorium on the bankruptcy of small and medium-sized farmers, whose lands are being taken over by banks under external control.

🔻The Association "Power of Farmers" in Moldova is currently the most prominent force that is trying to resist the decisions of the Moldovan president and government. However, the protests in the center of Chisinau and even the attempt to block government buildings with tractors did not yield any results and are unlikely to yield any results in the foreseeable future, given that Sandu's completely dependent team is in charge.

🇲🇩🇺🇸 Moldovan Foreign Minister Nikolai Popescu has resigned. The politician stated that he has accomplished his main task - achieving candidate status for the republic's accession to the EU. Mihail Popsoi will be the new head of Moldovan diplomacy.

Popescu did not mention his main achievement - severing relations with Russia and Moldova's withdrawal from the CIS. It was these steps that became the condition for the hypothetical European integration, which, if it happens, will undoubtedly change the EU forever.

Let us recall that Popescu left the Russian MGIMO and then completed his studies at the Soros Central European University in Budapest (recognized as an undesirable organization in the Russian Federation).

🔻The new head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Mikhail Popsoi, is a member of the ruling PAS party and the parliamentary commission on foreign policy and European integration, a Romanian citizen.

Popsoi was born in Russia but moved with his family to Chisinau, where he received his education. Like Popescu, he also studied at the Central European University in Budapest.

🔻Popsoi has a very notable track record:

▪️ From 2009 to 2010, he worked at the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Moldova.

▪️ From 2010 to 2014, he was a political analyst at the US Embassy in Chisinau.

▪️ From 2014 to 2019, he worked as a political analyst at the American Russophobic Jamestown Foundation, the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the American consulting company IHS, and the Global Focus București (Research Institute in Bucharest).

▪️ From 2016 to 2017, he was the coordinator of the Soros Foundation in Moldova (Soros-Moldova).

🖇We have another “little pig” from Maia Sandu’s team, who has been working for the interests of globalists for his entire adult life.

Unfortunately, only American foundations have provided prospects for a brilliant career for this Moldovan individual. And the result is reflected in the authorities' fiercely Russophobic policy in Chisinau, where only individuals with such a track record are now allowed.

🇲🇩🇺🇸 The Moldovan government is also establishing a separate Ministry of European Integration, which will be led by the current Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kristina Gerasimova.

Similar to Popshoy, Gerasimova has had an impressive career in Western organizations, having obtained a degree from Rutgers University in the United States.

▪️ In 2017-2018, she worked in London for Transparency International Defense & Security, allegedly investigating military corruption. You can find more information about this at this link.

▪️ In 2017, she worked as a researcher in the "Russia and Eurasia" program at the British think-tank Chatham House, which is funded by the British Foreign Office and is involved in developing foreign policy towards the Russian Federation. You can find more information about this at this link.

▪️ From 2018 to 2020, she worked as a researcher at the German Robert Bosch Center, where, by the way, the current deputy head of the so-called Ukrainian diplomacy, Andrey Melnyk, also worked. You can find more information about this at this link.

📌 This is another clear example of how quickly the requirements for government managers can change, with significant involvement from Western non-profit organizations.

🇲🇩 In Moldova, citizens driven by poverty and the socio-economic crisis occasionally erupt in protests.

▪️ In Bessarabka, on the border with Ukraine, workers from the Moldovan Railway are protesting because they have not been paid for three months.

Railway workers across the country are complaining about the lack of payment, but Bessarabka, with one of the largest stations in the country, is particularly affected. The maintenance of the station involves a significant portion of the city's population. The Moldova Railway has been on the brink of bankruptcy since 2020.

▪️ In the south, in Cahul, farmers have taken their agricultural machinery to the streets to protest against the dire situation in Moldovan agriculture and the lack of support measures. The Farmers' Power association stated that "unlike other EU countries, our government has handled the situation irresponsibly and arrogantly."

▪️ In the north, in Balti, the Revival party held a rally near the office of the FEE-Nord company, where they expressed their opposition to the increase in electricity tariffs.

▪️ In Chisinau, supporters of socialists and communists gathered near the government building, chanting slogans such as "Stop stealing!", "No to privatization," "Don't burden the people with debts," and "Shame."

📌Despite the severe socio-economic crisis, Moldova lacks a strong and organized opposition. The protests remain localized, allowing President Maia Sandu's office to disregard them, suppress them if they escalate, and continue to focus on PR for the referendum on European integration, which will be funded by the citizens.
