Let's start that CJ (I'll name her like that.)
Lost her parents in an accident. And here she is, 16 years old with her newborn sister. She's all alone, she has to do something.
CJ went to search for a work, and hopefully made it, while convincing her neighbors to look after her baby sister.

When like her little sister was 2 years old and CJ like 18 years old, she decided to work in Playtime Co factory. She remember her parents words - always smile! And as well for her baby sister, she knew that lil baby loved Cat Bee! Ain't that sweet?

Here she is, wanting to apply into work, even if she's young, at least she'll be able to finally get into college. She learned EVERYTHING, everything with almost every detail, that in test she answered everything all perfectly correct! Such a good job she made, and CJ started to work at box centre, like Huggy Wuggy boxes and etc. Doing what she's needed, right?

Surprisingly she was too loyal, everytime a child would ask anything about some playtime CO's toys she'll answer everything correctly and even convince kiddos to buy such wonderful toys that will be a forever friends for them!
Amusing! Leith of course notices that, well, why wouldn't he? She's one of those who never caused any problems and knew her place, not questioning ANYTHING what's unnecessary to know, hopefully for her she never received anything suspicious. She was called a good worker, that she does everything almost perfectly and gets a good opinion on higher staff, perfect!
For likely two years she worked as one of box carries.. Of course she witnessed some incidents but she still remains loyal and always smiles. Leith,Stella and others would always put her as an example of good worker, like how others should work. 'Individuals like her are rare, and you all should learn something from her, with more people like her we can make this factory so much better for everyone.'

First job:
All confident, optimistic and loyal.
Never gave up even if she saw quite of traumatic events.

20 years old. 4 years old for Lily. (Little sister.)
CJ was doing great in her college, learning medicine, biology and all that scientific stuff. She really was inspired by Elliot Ludwig and other Scientists, including Harley Sawyer, little did she knew he was just 'faking' being a good person.

Stella was the first to be informed that CJ has a little sister and it's quite hard for CJ to look after her, so Stella talked with her and gave idea that Lily can live in their playcare, well ain't that great? CJ hesitated, but she was given time for such decision. Her little sister seemed to be happy with such thing, so soon enough she agreed. After that everything went so easily for CJ that she started to work so much better than ever in her 2 years in Playtime CO factory. So according to her new skills and knowledge and creativity, she got a higher position. An Illustrator. She's drawing those posters around the factory and does it great!

How could you even imagine, she does everything perfectly and suitable for every character in this unique world.
She worked as illustrator quite long time, had accidents, again, somehow she was forgiven for such...things. After all not her fault all this happened, and as rules said, report those who are responsible for such. (And of course High Staff wouldn't want to fire such a good worker.)
For sometime, some scientists noticed how she speaks in break times with big passion about the science and sometimes having conversation with her colleagues about random stuff, but who knew that those random stuff would led others notice a bigger potential in her. Good workers really hide those creative potential in them, maybe they don't even know that it exist in them?
A bit less confident because of many incidents,doesn't give up, still optimistic, hair is more wavy than curly.
Well..why won't we help them to achieve what they're really worth of?
We all know about VHS, and that High staff are OBSESSED to record anything, and her conversation got into camera, which caught Leith's attention and interest. And he decided to talk about that with Harley, one more new scientist won't make a problem but help achieve higher goals.

24 years old CJ. Lily 8 years old.

Lily is doing great in playcare, still kind of hard for her to find friends but she gets along with the experiments, so sweet! Cat Bee is still her favorite toy of all the times.
CJ would often visit her sister and remind her that she loves her so much that she won't let anyone to hurt her, with pinkie promise.
Oh boy..
Meanwhile, Harley and Leith discussed what they're planning. Scientists made the test for her, kind of hard, with lots of questions. But oh goodly, she managed to write it all in good description and explanation. She didn't really knew for what it's all for, maybe a good mark for her college after all.
Some days passed, results were incredible, Leith was happy for getting a new good scientist. What about Harley? He could probably use that potential for his own good use..

Here she is, working as a scientist, Stella had mixed feelings about it, talked a lot with Lieth Pierre and Sawyer about it. She doesn't want another child like Matthew go like this.. But not technically a child but already an adult, seems like Stella got attached to her. Not surprising, not the first time Stella gets attached to children, she works in playcare after all.
Yet, as always, nothing really happened, but hey! Leith said that they won't let CJ get into experiment researches, just to check their states and never know who truly are they and what this factory ACTUALLY hides.
At least something, hm? CJ was working as 'former scientist' who checks up the things and all for over 3 years now. Hm.

Yet, the incidents that happened.. Were even much more horrifying she even could imagine, once she almost got biten by one of the experiments which would led her arm to be chopped off, but hopefully her colleagues managed to save her.
CJ was going through therapy, Well..Stella. She couldn't TELL ANY SECRETS beyond the factory, it's a strict rule, and as we know - she's loyal.
Sometime she finally got taken away from it, but now she's so cautious that she's even scared of every move and sound that she feels near. She developed haptophobia. Well, you still can tap her by shoulder, but only if she sees you around and it's not so sudden.
And those 3 years she understood one thing - she actually ACTUALLY is very afraid of Doctor Harley Sawyer. Very much, she tries to do everything perfectly to not to get into any problems of any arguments with him. Not again, not ever again, she's already had enough of those yellings and threats. Her mental state worsened, yet someone she keeps her progress. I suppose, her sister Lily is a huge support for her.. Hopefully something.

Harley was actually getting really annoyed with the fact that CJ is just not anticipating in experiments. He actually believes that if she would've been involved long time ago they'd achieve much more success and many more other goals, that's the thing. He had enough of it. (Also i forgot to mention, but he always strictly said to her to not to come with curly hair and always straighten them, her hair always gets into documents, it's getting too irrating for him.)

He told her to come to his office and she felt her heart falling into depths of Void full of nightmares. When she was there, Harley was speaking with her that she'll finally will help them achieve bigger goals if she'll do as Harley says. Some manipulation + calm demeanor and less pressure - led her to agree into that. Great, he got what he needed, now Leith wouldn't dare trying to say that he 'forced' her into that, he got her permission after all, then it's all good.

But oh God, she didn't even knew what she'll face.
All the secrets she didn't knew, got revealed just within all this months, she got too much of this trauma, yet she was strictly said to not to tell about that, not even higher staff about her new position as scientist, Harley doesn't want another arguments with this three. Eddie, Stella and Leith, they really are getting under his nerves, hm? Even if they'll find out it by themselves, he'll still have to listen it all, he understood. But, better it to be found by themselves, rather than it to be spilled, or else bad consequences will await her.
Now, CJ had forcefully be under Harley's influence and pressure. Sick bastard, and he does it for his scientific goals...
Still, she's not so often with him, don't think like that, Harley has much more important individuals to have job with.
All those..experiments..children..gross.
Within everyday, within every second of passing operation with this experiments - she was getting afraid. Afraid that her sister will be included into that horrifying experience..gross.
All she needed to do was being silent.

But when Leith,Stella and Eddie found out about it, they discussed it also with CJ, like - why didn't you told us?! We're the one who give you such job.
She knew, if she'll tell everything how it is, Harley will have problems, but hey, he threatened her a lot, scared her a lot.
She.. She just said 'i accepted it. I took it. That means i work with it. And.. I'm fine with that. I just... I just need to get used to it. I can give purpose, i can give meaning..i can.. Do better.'

Hopefully for her and for Harley, nothing bad happened. Damn, they almost loose their best worker of all years,let's hope she won't fail at any moment.

Two years pass like that, somehow CJ gets used to it, not quite well but still, just..something uncommon each passing day.
Yet, she kept smiling, like how once her parents told. Why... Why she keeps this foolish and unnecessary smile on her stupid face? Is he really happy about what's going on? She's so ignorant huh?
That annoys. Annoys especially Harley, get rid off this stupid smile, learn what you'll face.
Fortunately for her Harley could achieve so much better.

Then horrible event happened with her. Harley got results of Lily, her younger sister.
She passed all tests excellent.. What a shame to not to use such mind for better.
Yeah, you get it right, they're gonna experiment on her.
But, somehow, Harley also wanted to give CJ a GOOD lesson, to stop CARING. he understood already well that her sister is her only weakness, and that weakness is 'caring too much.' But if you loose what you care about so much, you'll stop caring at all. That's what he needed from CJ. Apathy to almost everything.

....
When CJ was told about it, she went into Harley's office so fast that she dared to yell.
'Doctor! Please Doctor. Please don't use her.. Don't..please..please.. I beg you! Doctor please! You can use me! My mind is more intelligent and useful for your experiments!'
Doctor doesn't seem to care about it much, he simply and strictly just looks into her soul.
'Your mind is still useful for our scientific achievements... As well as your sister, it can prove how well you'll be able to demonstrate your real skills you've been holding too much in yourself. That's necessary.'

'But.. Please.. No- it's.. It can't be-'

'You seem to forget the rules that factory holds, weren't you aaallll this years were loyal to them, hm? Not hesitating to report your colleagues..not hesitating to do what you've told.. Not even hesitated even do those experiments. A true wolf in sheep's clothing indeed.'

'...' She's silent, the truth is real.. Too real to even confirm it.

'The rules say: 'do what you're told, and don't ask questions.' I don't see you doing so. Or do you want me to report about your fails and not obeying the rules of those higher people who's words are law for you?'

CJ is still silent, she looks at floor, without knowing how to respond.

'I've covered your back for too long already, and that's how grateful you're being? I gave you PURPOSE... I gave you MEANING in this life. SOMETHING that will make you WORTH to help this factory, this staff, this children... The whole humanity.'

Sawyer kept doing it, kept saying it all.. That's too painful to listen.

'...'
'You're gonna participate in this operation.'

This words were like a shoot in her heart.
She wanted to object but-
Harley turned his head towards her, looking through her eyes, likely saying 'i dare you, dare you to object.'

She shakes, her eyes shake, her hands.. All her whole being. With swallowed words she says:
'I...got it...'

She was just forced into making experiment out of her OWN SISTER.

'Excellent. Now, get back to your work and prepare everything what's needed.'

After.. That. After experiment. After operation, she.. She really stopped to care. Those screams of her sister, the tears and pain. CJ couldn't contain herself from crying, she really did, while Harley just silently watched it and smiled to himself...psychopath.

It went successful in many ways.
CJ proved her skills, her intelligence.
And Harley managed to make her finally stop holding onto 'caring' and being apathic.
