𝓜𝓪𝔂 𝓘 𝓱𝓪𝓿𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓭𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓮?

I absolutely love bringing the new settings to life for Ascension by hand.

While I'm not a frothing anti-AI crusader (Tools that can put indies on an equal footing with Hollywood? Cool) I'm still drawing by hand for a couple reasons.

First (maybe mainly) I just love to draw. X D

Aside from my own hedonic enjoyment the second reason is that drawing is when I get a chance to really think through the details of a setting, so a lot of story and writing nuance manifests during the act of drawing. Thinking through every little detail, and why it is the way that it is, brings the setting to life in my imagination in a way that ripples out and magnifies my understanding of the whole project.

I'm interested in where the high tech tools can take us, but I hope future generations don't lose these basic skills along the way.

Drawing is fun.
