You can write about:

Assistive technology tips (e.g., using software, screen readers, devices).

Reviews

"How-to" guides or tutorials.

Your personal experiences as a blind or visually impaired individual.
Notes:

Articles should be in English and easy to understand.

Don’t worry about grammatical errors! Nobody is perfect—practice helps you improve.

How to Use Windows Voice Input?
1.
Open a text box window, such as Notepad or Word, and then press Windows + H.
2.
After you hear a sound, start speaking.
3.
If you are using a screen reader such as NVDA, your TTS will speak the words you say. When you stop speaking, wait for 1 or 2 seconds. Your TTS will then speak the entire text. Also, your spoken text will be inserted into the text box.
4.
To stop the input, press any key. A new sound will play, which means the voice input has stopped.
Note: Some languages are not supported by Voice Input, such as Urdu.
Note 2: When you start Voice Input, it will check the keyboard first. Example: If you have selected an English keyboard, then it will type in English.

unigram plus nvda addon latest update. read change log and download:
UnigramPlus-5.3.0
* Added a keyboard shortcut that announces the sending time or receiving time of a message and reactions in the message. This is useful when you want to hear the sending or receiving time of a message without re-listening to the full text of the message beforehand. By default, this is the ALT W key combination. Double-clicking toggles the mode of announcing this information.
* Fixed all the issues that have accumulated recently as a result of changes in the Unigram interface.
* Changed the keyboard shortcut for opening a user profile to ALT shift P.
* Changed the keyboard shortcuts for navigating to the next and previous search results to F3 and shift F3, as in most applications.
* Added compatibility with NVDA 2024.4.

what's new in talkback 16.0
Gemini AI Image Description Enhancements
TalkBack 16.0 introduces two new features for detailed image descriptions: describing the entire screen and asking follow-up questions.
Describing the Entire Screen
Previously, detailed image descriptions only worked for the currently focused item. With TalkBack 16.0, a new option allows capturing a screenshot of the entire screen and sending it to Gemini for description. To use this, open the TalkBack menu and select “Describe screen.” You can also assign a gesture for this feature in the Customize gestures section of TalkBack settings.
Asking Follow-Up Questions
TalkBack now supports follow-up questions after receiving an image description, whether it’s for the focused item or the whole screen. In the description results window, double-tap “Ask Gemini” to speak your question, or “Type question” to enter it manually.
• When using voice, the question is sent automatically after you stop talking.
• When typing, press the Done key on Gboard or use the appropriate braille gesture to send the question.
Answers are spoken aloud when received, and you can review the conversation through touch exploration or swiping. Next to each description or answer, there are thumbs up and thumbs down buttons to give feedback. To close the window, press the Close button or use the Back gesture.
Table Navigation
Google introduced table navigation by columns and rows in TalkBack 16.0. When a table is in focus, select the rows and columns reading control to start table navigation. Then swipe right or left to navigate between columns, or swipe down or up to navigate between rows.
To exit table navigation and return swipes to their normal functions, switch to any other reading control. Note that you can add “columns” and “rows” as reading control items, allowing you to switch to the desired item and navigate using up and down swipes. Additionally, you can assign gestures to move to the next or previous row, and to the next or previous column.
It is also possible to start table navigation automatically when a table is focused by enabling the option “Automatically switch to table navigation reading control when entering a table” found in Advanced settings.
Repeat and Spell Last Spoken Phrase Can Now Be Assigned to Gestures
With TalkBack 16.0, it is now possible to assign the existing TalkBack functions Repeat last spoken phrase and Spell last spoken phrase to any available gesture. To do this, open TalkBack settings and select Customize gestures. Then choose the desired gesture and double-tap the function to assign it.

This release introduces NVDA Remote Access, allowing you to control a remote computer running NVDA from another device running NVDA.
There are many improvements to speech, particularly responsiveness with SAPI 4, SAPI 5 and OneCore voices. Rate boost and automatic language switching is now supported in SAPI 5. SAPI 4 voices now support audio ducking, leading silence trimming, and keeping the audio device awake.
The Add-on Store’s automatic update system has been improved, allowing you to select channels for automatic updates, and run automatic updates in the background.
It’s now easier to manually refresh OCR and toggle automatic refresh, with new commands.
Native selection is now available in Chrome and Edge.
Microsoft Office and LibreOffice support has improved, notably with more shortcuts being announced.
Default input and output braille tables can now be determined based on the NVDA language. Native support has been added for the Dot Pad tactile graphics device from Dot Inc as a multiline braille display. There have been other minor fixes for braille displays, particularly around connectivity.
LibLouis braille translator, eSpeak-NG and Unicode CLDR have been updated. New Coptic, compact Cuneiform, and Portuguese 6 dot Computer Braille tables are available.
Important note.
This release breaks compatibility with add-ons made for NVDA 2024.4.2 and earlier.
The NVDA installer no longer plays a sound when launching.
