The longest prison sentence in history was handed down to Chamaiporn Thipchaso, a Thai national known in her country as the queen of underground business. On July 27, 1989, she and seven accomplices were each sentenced to 141,078 years behind bars for orchestrating multi-million-dollar banking frauds. In total, the single court ruling amounted to a staggering 1,128,624 years in prison.
