How to download books and articles:

1️⃣ The easiest way to do that is through LibGen: http://libgen.rs/ .
LibGen also has a section for articles (and book-chapters): http://libgen.rs/scimag/ . Also, you can download journals: http://libgen.rs/scimag/journals/ .

2️⃣ Another way is to use Sci-Hub ( https://sci-hub.st/ ) which basically works with DOI codes. You can get DOIs from this website: https://www.crossref.org/ (select Search Metadata). Keep in mind that sometimes you can get the book in a single file and sometimes chapter by chapter.

3️⃣ Some publishers produce free e-books (such as https://langsci-press.org/ ) and many of them have Open Access sections.

Rotate the images of Michelle Obama and Jennifer Lopez 180 degrees!
There is a face resource that you may find useful in face-perception research. The faces are computer-generated but are photo-realistic. The link to the company is (Generated Photos):
https://generated.photos/

All the images they offer are free with a link for non-commercial purposes.

For the academic community, they have also made a 10K dataset with meta-data freely available for research:

(scroll towards the bottom)

They have a very good support team, who are very responsive to questions.

Click on the link to see the illusion. There are tiny changes at the edges of the wheels that cause large responses in motion neurons in the brain. If you cover the edges, the illusion disappears.

This is an interesting commentary by Pessoa arguing that the term “limbic system” is misleading and perhaps even inaccurate.
