Violet Official Updates | Notice
So, we needed to speak about the recent take down of the Carrier Aggregation post from the channel, as some channels and groups might be talking about this and here it is of what happened and why it was taken down.
First of all, any unofficial stuff that you do with your device is your sole responsibility and no one here or in any of the support groups is held responsible for it.
Secondly, know your facts what you're doing to your device. We read the guide which was provided on XDA which clearly mentioned modification of the EFS, which is really important part of networking and communication for Android Smartphones, it also contains your device IMEI data. When installing the Custom ROMs, it is always recommended to backup EFS Data, because these are the places, where you might lose this data and when you lose it, it means you may no longer be able to use your smartphone for communication, ultimately which becomes just a multimedia toy!! There is no use of a phone if you can't call.
Also, talking at a basic user level, backing up is easy, but if you do backup you need to take care of the permissions needed, simply because during the backup process, the permissions could change, and unless you have detailed knowledge of what the permissions were before backup, they'd all be wrong after restoring the backup without which the phone becomes unusable. Also, the fact that the device has only one antenna and it cannot really support Carrier Aggregation because of it's hardware limitations.
Been said that, it's pretty clear how risky the whole process is and hence, for the best of everyone the post was taken down.
As anything that has the slightest chance of altering the basic functionality of the device and make it unusable is prohibited on this channel.
Users who want to try it they can try it, afterall it's your device, you can do whatever you want to do with it. The developer can promote it on his groups and channels but due to the several reasons mentioned above it cannot be posted here. Sorry.
Also, we mention again that, no personal grudges were involved in this decision, if it was like that then the older posts of the work done by the same person would have been taken down too. Users are our first priority here and we cannot afford anyone's loss.
Signing off.
