π Topic: My Winter Holidays
Winter holidays are shorter than summer ones. They begin at the end of December and last about two weeks. It is so nice to have a rest from school.
During winter holidays we celebrate the New Yearβs Eve and Christmas. There are New Year parties for children at schools and theatres. Cinemas show children films and cartoons.
It is usually very cold in winter, but frost and snow canβt keep children indoors. Itβs so great to go skiing down a hill. Boys like to play hockey on the ice. Many children go to the skating-rinks to skate. Small children play snowballs and make snowmen, or ride on the sledges happily.
When the weather is bad, I stay at home and watch TV. There is always something interesting on during winter holidays. Sometimes my friends come to see me and we play computer games or listen to music. There is also more time for reading, drawing, making model planes and other hobbies.
Holidays pass quickly and soon itβs time to go to school again.

The pie charts show sources which were used to generate electricity in Uzbekistan in 1980 and 1990. π This is homework for you till 12 PM tomorrow. #piechart
The pie chart compares the percentages of five industrial resources to produce electricity in 1980 and 1990 in Uzbekistan.
Overall, it can be seen clearly that while the rates of oil and natural gas decreased moderately, the percentages of other two products, coal and nuclear power increased gradually. Along with, it is clear that the shares of hydroelectric power levelled off over a decade.
Looking at the information in more details, the most or 42% of indus products share was owned by oil in 1980 which was 16% more than that of natural gas. Nevertheless, the exploitation of both commodities went down during the next decade. By 1990, the rate of oil had declined to 33%. Suchlike, there was a lise come-down of 1% in the result of natural gas, from 26% in 1980 to 25% in 1990.
With regard to the last indus outputs, in 1980, the index of coal amounted roughly a quarter of all products (22%). However, over the next decade the indication went up steadly from 22% in 1980 to 27% in 1990. Similarly, the percentage of nuclear power increased from 5% in 1980 to 10% in 1990. By contrast, the demand on the hydroelectric power evened out during the next 10 years.
