This mapping shows what's happening around Australia. The sheer amount of these projects is staggering with
- 31,000 wind turbine towers
- 28,000 km of high-voltage transmission lines
- 7,800 km of undersea cabling
- 44,000 km of new haulage roads, longer than Australia’s coastline
- 584 million solar panels covering 443,755 hectares
I congratulate Steve on this essential work as we can now see what the REAL cost of this push for 100% renewables will be -
$1.38 trillion for projects that may last 25 years and work 25 - 35% of the time. While destroying our natural environment, flora, fauna and habitats!
Check out the mapping that Steve has done, and zoom in around Australia. There are projects in development across Tasmania's old forest areas, there's off shore wind along the Western Australian coastline as well as on-shore beside National Parks.
