If you are feeling like you have lost hope, the VFM team and community want you to know you are not alone. Nobody understands you like we do. You do not have to suffer alone. Please connect with your community so we can help you ride this wave of despair. It is real, and we are all there with you to varying degrees. We get you. Please reach out and don't allow yourself to get this desperate without leaning on others who know what you are going through and can help you weather the storm through community.

We love you.

This story has inspired us to set up a specific mental health and wellbeing support group. Please use this group to lean on one another and give those in need support.

If you have been triggered by our last post, please reach out for support.
And now a little hope for the weekend.

YOU ARE NEVER ALONE!

Get amongst your community and please do not suffer in silence! We are one big (sometimes dysfunctional, but always good value) family.

Friday evening Rise Up! are putting on another Streetside Picnic Takeover, this time for a river-side dinner along Southbank!

Saturday is not a planned protest day due to the national Reclaim the Line event on the Sunday; the BIG MARCH, which Rise Up! will be supporting in place of their usual Saturday event. This will be an epic day focusing on tunes and good vibes to tell our politicians to FACE THE MUSIC!!!

Let's do this, let's support each other, and let's make the most of a shitty situation.

Tough times call for a tight knit freedom family. We all need each other right now, more than we've ever needed people.

We have found belonging and community in the Freedom Movement online, at community events and at the rallies, but how often do we really share how much we are struggling?

Opening up to one another allows us to feel less alone. Please support one another with wisdom, compassion, hope and understanding.

NO SATURDAY PROTEST BY RISE UP THIS WEEK

RISE UP ARE SUPPORTING RECLAIM THE LINE AND WILL BE JOINING WITH THEM ON THE SUNDAY FOR THE BIG RALLY

MAIN EVENT ON SUNDAY FOR THE NATIONAL RECLAIM THE LINE RALLY IN SOLIDARITY WITH OUR FELLOW AUSSIES!

AN EXPLANATION ON DATES

Hi everyone, we know many of you are disappointed that the Rise Up crew are not putting on the usual Saturday event this week. We completely understand why.

Rather than try to repeat ourselves with our own explanation, one of the organisers has made some comments on Facebook addressing people's concerns. This explains it all pretty well.

We think it's helpful for people to have some insight into what goes on behind the scenes as you are all as invested in these things as us.

Please understand this is bigger than a scheduled day and it is bigger than just Victoria. We MUST all get behind Sunday and show solidarity as a country! Please stand with your freedom brothers and sisters and SHOW UP!
So there may not be an organised protest on this Saturday, but for those who are absolutely committed to Saturdays no matter what, why not just show up?

Make it a day on the steps of Parl, bring along some portable PA devices and do some open mic sessions and tunes! And if there are enough numbers, assign someone responsible to liaise with police to organise traffic control for a march (please avoid requested areas as the Melbourne Marathon is on that day too).

It's time for others to fulfil their own wishes if they do not have their needs met by movement organisers. We can't be everything to everyone all the time, as much as we try. Nothing wrong with a decentralised protest every once in a while! It's organic and authentic.

Stay peaceful and respectful and you can get a good message heard!

Make sure you come on Sunday too if you can!

You're all amazing!!!

Thank you so much! We are over half way there in just a few short days!

Organisers have personally footed the bill for all our expenses and investments for the movement's events for the Eureka weekend and we still have a deficit to make up.

If you can help by donating, or otherwise sharing, we would be most grateful so we can keep on putting on these kinds of events for you!

If you can, donate here: https://donorbox.org/rise-up-melbourne-4th-5th

Please do not put yourself out financially if you are not in the position to do so. Your support in other ways is more than enough
A MASSIVE SHOUTOUT TO OUR SOUND CREW!!!

Thank you to Gozza & the Summit Audio Visual crew for being part of the team & helping us step it up with the production value of our events!

They are the most dedicated and generous team who are sorting out an incredible deal for us to have epic and powerful sound for all the movement's rallies going forward! They have offered the ongoing use of the set up truck to the movement for the cost of just ongoing expenses and professional crew for sound management.

We will need to continue crowd funding for this as we need the extra sound for our growing movement numbers.

We will have the truck even more beefed up for Sunday's Reclaim the Line event (Parliament midday) so people standing at the back can hear clearly.

This is another small business that has done it tough under public health tyranny. So if you ever have an event you need AV hire for, why not hit them up and support some fantastic members of our community?

SAFE TO SAY THAT WE THINK VFM AND EUREKA UNITED WILL HAVE TO HOLD A EUREKA FREEDOM RALLY THAT WILL PUT BALLARAT'S LOCAL ANNUAL SEGREGATED COMMEMORATIVE EVENTS TO SHAME EVERY SINGLE YEAR!

WHAT A BLOODY FANTASTIC DAY ON SUNDAY IN BALLARAT! WE TRULY EMBODIED THE EUREKA SPIRIT DIDN'T WE!?

The Eureka Oath:

'We swear to stand by the Southern Cross;

To stand truly by each other;

And fight to defend our rights and liberties.'
Christmas Carols @ Caulfield Park (Previously Parliament Steps)

If you are able to assist with singing or other things, please contact the organiser at m.b.zakanj@gmail.com
The mainstream media have been silent on the incident where the woman set herself alight in her car, with a sign saying 'nobody cares vaccine mandates are killing us'. Would you support a protest / vigil at the scene against media silence on this issue?

Poster by Kylie Russell

This is just a meet and greet in a park, and if we have the bandwidth, Damien and I will stream our show live, starting at 6pm, where we will interview those people from Shepparton and the surrounds who feel compelled to speak.

See you there.
