⚠️ LAB PRIVATE GROUP ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

When you join a LAB private group, our admin bots will need to verify you with a captcha and questionnaire. You will need to answer the captcha within 3 minutes of joining the group or it will automatically boot you.

You will not be able to comment in the group until you have answered the admission questionnaire to confirm you are in the group for the right reasons. You will need to answer the questions within 3 hours of joining the group or the message will time out. If this happens, you will need to leave the group and rejoin to access the questionnaire for full group permissions.

To participate in the Telegram LAB Chat group you will need to agree to the following terms. These measures are in place to prevent infiltration in the group and ensure security for each of our meetup members.

1). Please only join if you are from the local area and / or willing to meet IN PERSON with the group within 3 weeks of joining.

2). You will need to book in your first intended LAB meetup date within 3 days of joining the Private Chat Group, or otherwise within 3 days of being contacted by an admin. The group admin or manager will reach out to you via private message upon joining to book in your first LAB meetup and answer a few questions about your intentions with participation. If they do not receive a response from you within 3 days, you will be banned from the group. (This requirement will only apply once group admins are in place for your group - VFM channel admins are still working on this).

3). Please only join the group if you are willing to participate in activity with your group (local meetups, rally carpooling, local actions etc.) at least once per month.

🎯 WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A FREEDOM LAB?

* To connect with others in your area for support.

* To organise car pooling for central protests.
* To organise local actions and demonstrations.
* To share resources with locals and create a supportive community.

The group admin or manager will reach out to you via private message upon joining to book in your first LAB meetup and answer a few questions about your intentions with participation. ☝️MEMBER CONDUCT:

1). Please avoid ad hominem attacks and airing of personal grievances: private messaging to admins or between members is encouraged to solve personal disputes.

2). Please avoid advocacy of violence: VFM supports peaceful solutions.

3). Please avoid discriminatory or derogatory comments about any individual or group based on race, religion, gender, sexuality or other status: VFM advocate for equality and unity.

The LAB Team maintains discretion over the implementation and application of these rules. After reasonable warning, ongoing contraventions may result in being muted or banned.

🚨 WE ARE LOOKING FOR LOCAL ACTION BRANCH REPS

🔍 LAB GROUP REPS ROLE DESCRIPTIONS

Each group will be appointed with at least one Facilitator and Administrator. Here is a breakdown of what duties are involved with each role.

👤 GROUP FACILITATOR ROLE DUTIES:

1). Show commitment and leadership in rallying people together for their local weekly group meetups - conduct RSVP polls in your group so others know who will be attending.
2). Communicate directly with VFM channel admins as a reliable representative of your local group to relay important announcements and provide VFM admins with group feedback.
3). Help your group grow by identifying opportunities in your local zone to promote to the community and connect with any other established local groups.
4). Assist your group in getting organised for events promoted through VFM channels - conduct RSVP polls with the group to get a head count on how many will be attending in order to pass on estimates to organisers, plan for carpooling for arrival in larger groups and communicate important information from organisers.
5). Help motivate members of your group to take leadership in organising local actions such as letter box drops, flyer distribution, community education drives and demonstrations.
6). Keep an eye on any group security issues such as possible infiltrators.
7). Help identify ways group operation can be improved, communicate feedback with channel admins and implement improvements.
8). Work closely with the group admin for any backup support, and identify when additional volunteers might be needed to assist you.

👤 GROUP ADMIN ROLE DUTIES:

1). Moderate the group chat to ensure discussion is kept considerate and any personal grievances are taken to private chats.
2). Action any technical tasks required by VFM channel admins.
3). Keep a private log of Telegram names to monitor who is showing up to park gatherings so that anyone who is not participating actively can be removed from the private group. This will keep the groups as secure as possible.
4). Work closely with the group facilitator to assist with organisation when needed.

📌 LOCAL ACTION BRANCH ANNOUNCEMENTS:


🚨 1. INTRODUCTION: LOCAL ACTION BRANCH [LAB] MEETUP GROUPS

📆 WHEN: Every Sunday at 11:00 am to 1:00 pm (unless otherwise specified by the VFM channel or the local group reps).

🗺 WHERE: At various locations listed on the LAB directory (check the local chat group directory to check if your area is active). (More zones are being added regularly).

👤 WHO: Anyone who is within the radius area of a given location (as shown on on the map), or otherwise wishes to participate at that location - freedom fighters, rally goers and families.

❓HOW: Join your LAB Private Chat Group listed in the chat group directory and organise to meet up with other locals in your area.

The Local Action Branches [LABs] will be used as local community activist groups for the purpose of organising local networking and support meetups, local community actions and rallies, and privately organising carpooling and travelling together in big groups to the larger central protests.

Each group will be assigned with trusted representatives who will be vetted and will manage private communication between trusted members of the LABs.

If you wish to volunteer as a rep for a LAB zone listed, please contact the channel admin @australianfreedommovement so we can put you in touch with a channel representative who can vett you.

Please also get in touch If you are in a regional area and would like to assist in mobilising a group in your region.

Most built up areas within the lockdown zone are listed. Further areas will be listed soon for regional zones should they be needed for future local meetups and local protest organisation.

🟡 2. WHAT TO DO IF THERE IS NO ESTABLISHED GROUP IN YOUR AREA?

If your group is not yet up and running on the directory, or isn't yet active with members, consider joining another group nearby.

If your group is not listed on the directory or shown as pending on the map (locations with yellow markers), you can contact admin @australianfreedommovement to request a pending location to be added to the map.

👥 3. LOCAL GROUPS ARE A GREAT WAY TO RECRUIT OTHER LOCALS!

The VFM channel admins will be putting a plan in place for people to advertise these Local Action Branches in their neighbourhoods to bring people into the groups and onto these channels for updates - people who are willing to get out there and hit the streets.

This may include flyer drops, stickers in local shopping centres and conversations on the ground with other locals.

If anyone is willing to assist with designing something and putting together some information about the movement to put on an A5 flyer to circulate, please contact us ASAP @australianfredommovement.

📍4. LOCATIONS

Some of the locations chosen by organisers may not seem like the most visible or the most impactful, or even the most scenic. These were not the priority considerations in the location choices.

The INTENTION of these park meetups is to congregate as many people as possible within 10km zoning (both for lockdowns and access), so the logistics team had to choose parks that were central to the region they needed covered for the most amount of access to the most amount of people (without them being picked off by police for being outside their radius zone).

There will be opportunities for local action in more visible areas for public protest impact, but building up a base of local people is first necessary to achieve this kind of organisation. The intention of these meetup locations for regular meeting points is for picnic networking and for strategic success bringing more people together when they are called upon to hit the streets for central protests (or local protests).
