Mononodes – Color Shift DCTLS 2.2

The pack often includes two DCTLs per category, each based on different mathematical foundations, which leads to slightly different results. “T” stands for Tetra, which I have extended with my own code. The user can choose which DCTL they prefer to apply, depending on which yields the most appealing results for their specific footage. This flexibility allows for greater customization and ensures the best possible outcome for each individual project. All DCTLs can be freely mixed and arranged according to your own liking.

Mononodes - RGB Crosstalk DCTL

The RGB Mixer has sliders for adjusting the contributions of Red, Green, and Blue colors to the output. Changing a slider affects the overall color value, requiring adjustment of another slider in the same color channel to restore neutral hues. This can be time-consuming.

The RGB Crosstalk DCTL simplifies this process by preserving neutral colors during channel adjustments. The design maintains a constant total color value, ensuring neutral colors remain neutral.

Mononodes - Utility DCTL v1.1

The “Utility DCTL” pack encompasses tools for image analysis and adjustment. It includes the “Balance DCTL” for analyzing skin tones in footage and managing color deviations, the “Clipping DCTL” for identifying and handling clipping in light or dark areas, and the “Isolator” features for color isolation in bright and dark regions, emphasizing ‘pure’ colors.

Mononodes - Hue Twist v1.0

The “Hue Twist” DCTL works by ‘twisting’ hue values towards their neighboring colors, but the interesting aspect here is that it does so based on the brightness value of the respective hue. Darker areas are automatically shifted towards the opposite adjacent hue value than lighter areas, adding a depth of complexity to the color manipulation process that goes beyond standard hue shift methods.

Additionally, the tool offers flexibility in determining the brightness threshold and the intensity of the transition between bright and dark regions. This added control ensures users have a broad and tailored manipulation of the image.
