while on tour to Tokyo Music Festival, band was passing through Hong Kong
suddenly, the festival got cancelled, leaving the band for the whole five days in a foreign city
they decided to do some recordings just to kill time, and that was the basis for The Magic Whip album
commisioned by the band to do a short comic book companion to the album, Kong Kee, a Hong Kong based artist at Penguin Lab, was allowed to listen to each track just once, resulting in a story inspired by the band's tour misadventures, but set in a futuristic version of Hong Kong, where past and future collide in unexpected ways
