I’ve been keeping this to myself for a very long time…

I met someone from the ION fandom whom I became extremely close to, she was the most important person in my life and I shared everything with her. At the beginning everything seemed wonderful, drawing, talking about ION, making jokes. I finally felt happy to have someone who spoke Spanish and was in the fandom, it seemed like everything was perfect, until the problems began. She and I were not emotionally well, we sank until we reached the lowest point, we encouraged bad habits and had actions that were not good

After months I managed to improve a lot, I started going out with friends, being more open with people, I improved my grades, I met new people, and when everything was going well, a message from her appeared. All the memories came back, I threw up, I was agitated, angry and many feelings at the same time. I told her I didn’t want to be her friend, she insisted, little by little I started to give in, although I kept some firmness, I was about to fall again when on TikTok classmates from her university started sending me hate messages, I started arguing with her, she brought up topics that still hurt me, I ended up blocking her.

Not long ago she contacted me again, and when I rejected her with a joke, she threw it in my face that two of my friends had abandoned me.While all this was happening, the fandom was still in contact with her, they still drew and talked with that person. I completely distanced myself from the fandom because of that, I felt like it haunted me wherever I went. I developed a huge rejection toward the show that I loved for years and even now I still can’t watch ION in a good way, everything brings me that nauseous feeling. I hope that with the next chapter all of this ends, that my affection for the series returns and that I won’t be so afraid to interact with the fandom.
