On 1 April 2023, Hua Xia International School's 33 students and 3 teachers visited UTAR in Sungai Long. The students had an introduction to UTAR's programmes, followed by a Dialogue with Dean session by Dr David Tneh Cheng Eng from the Faculty of Creative Industries, giving them insights into creative industries.
The visit included a guided tour of UTAR's campus, allowing students to explore its facilities and resources. This helped students gain a better understanding of their future study pathways, enabling them to make informed academic decisions.

Concerned about students and staff who may need to move around UTAR Kampar Campus without any transportation under the hot sun or rain to reach a specific destination or parking zone, the University has taken an initiative to provide e-Buggy services for their convenience.

The launching ceremony was held on 5 April 2023 at Kampar Campus. UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat was invited to grace the launching ceremony. Also present were Faculty of Arts and Social Science Dean Dr Lee Lai Meng, Faculty of Business and Finance Dean Assoc Prof Dr Au Yong Hui Nee, Faculty of Science Dean Assoc Prof Dr Lim Tuck Meng, Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology Deputy Dean for Student Development and Industrial Training Dr Tan Kok Tat, Centre for Foundation Studies (Kampar Campus) Deputy Director for Student Affairs and Development Lim Khiew Loon, Department of Student Affairs (Kampar Campus) Head Chiang Jeng Fong, Department of General Services (Kampar Campus) Head Yee Sook Heng, Division of Corporate Communication and Public Relations (Kampar Campus) Head S. Saravani and representatives from Student Representative Committee of Kampar Campus.
The trial run for the on-campus buggy service commenced on 21 March 2023. The service will be available from 8.30 am until 5.30pm. Students and staff are welcome to ride the buggy for free. The pick-up and drop-off points will be as follows:
1. University Administrative Block (Block F Bus Stop)
2. Student Pavilion II (Behind the Kitchen of Cafeterias)
3. FICT/IPSR (Block N Main Entrance/Bus Stop)
4. Car Park zone in front of the Sports Complex
5. Heritage Building (Block A Main Entrance)
6. East Gate

Congratulations to UTAR Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) students Ho Wei Liang, Yong Hong Long, and Tay Bee Sim for participating in the Huawei ICT Competition Asia Pacific 2022-2023 under the Cloud Track category. The competition, organised by Huawei, was held on 16 March 2023 at Gedung D, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, Jakarta.
At the competition, Tay was announced as one of the winners of the Women in Tech award under the Cloud Track category. Not only that, the team also successfully qualified for the Huawei ICT Competition 2022-2023 Global Final under the Cloud Track category, which will take place on 24 May 2023 in China.
