So, apparently, along with fake London in Canada there's also fake St. Petersburg in Florida

Couldn't those colonists come up with something original?
Wow, somebody went HARD with the sponsorblock...

So there is some use for visual programming after all...

Fun rust lesson of the continuum:

Proc macros tightly coupled to your code suck for modifiability

You can write them, they might work great for you, but you should well be sure you wouldn't want to change the shape of the API they provide or use. In case you would, it might be easier to just throw them to the bin & start from scratch

Encapsulation Is Not Free

TLDR: When you stick an explicit interface between two things, it may reduce the friction of changing the implementation but always at the cost of adding friction whenever you change the interface

Today my archlinux system crashed during a package upgrade and I learned that paccheck is a thing you can use to find corrupted files.
Wasn't fun, but at least it wasn't that hard 🤷

TIL that the DCIM directory is not some de-fecto thing that just every camera (and phone) manufacturer does, but an actual codified standard! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Design_rule_for_Camera_File_system

Wow, nightly does have bugs indeed...

UPD: it's not nightly the same error on stable

The diagnostic isn't really wrong, but it's confusing: the Rgb struct itself is private (it's imported from the wrong place), and so is it's constructor. But not due to the fields being private

Don't mind me, just reading an article on how the tty subsystem on linux works
