Don’t ignore CSAT
●CSAT is one of the overlooked parts of the UPSC Civil Service Exam owing to the fact that students need to only qualify for the examination. But in past few years, due to the difficulty level of the questions asked, this has yet again found priority.
●Take this paper seriously. If you do not qualify CSAT, you will not be eligible for Mains no matter what your score is in the General Studies-I paper.

CSAT Strategy
●First, solve previous year papers of 3 years. If you score more than 50 % in all of the previous year question papers then there is nothing to worry about.
●If you are scoring less than 50%, then you have to take it seriously.
●There is no hard and fast rule for CSAT. If you are from a mathematics background and clear with your basics such as ratio, percentage, etc. then take any standard available book and practice.
●And if your basics are not that good, then learn formulae and solve questions. You can also refer Free to learn YouTube Videos.
●English Comprehension takes up 40% of the question. Try to read quickly questions first and then paragraph. Try to read faster and faster.
●During the exam just attempt that section first which is your strength like it could be logical reasoning or Comprehension or any other topic.

1) Muzzafarpur Conspiracy-Attempt on Kingsford, Judge of Muzaffarpur by Prafful Chaki & Khudi Ram Bose in 1908
2) Alipore Conspiracy Case- Aurobindo Ghosh arrested
3) Delhi Conspiracy Case (1911)- Sanchin Sanyal and Rash Behari Bose were accused of attempting to assassinate Lord Hardinge
4) Kanpur Conspiracy Case (1924)- British government started the case against four communists-Muzaffar Ahmed, S.A.Dange, Shaukat Usmani and Nalni Gupta. The government alleged that the Communists wanted to deprive the British King of the sovereignty of British India.
5) Kakori Conspiracy Case- On August 9, 1925, ten revolutionaries held up the train from Saharanpur to Lucknow at Kakori and looted its official railway cash. Asfaqullah Khan, Rumprasad Bismil and Roshan Lehri were hanged.
6) Lahore Conspiracy Case-Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Raj Guru assassinated Saunders, a police official, at Lahore to avenge Lala Lajpat Raiâ€TMs death. (December 1928)
7) Meerut Conspiracy Case (1929)- Bhagat Singh & Batukeswar Dutt were asked to throw a bomb in the Central Legislative Assembly on April 8th 1929 against the passage of Public Safety Bill & Trade Disputes Bill.

Sallekhana Vrata
●It is the religious practice of voluntarily fasting to death by gradually reducing the intake of food and liquids.
●The Sallekhana ritual is usually taken up by monks known as munis. However, there is no bar on any Shravaka or a married person taking up the ritual.
●Death is celebrated in Jainism as Mrutyu Mahotsava and Sallekhana Vrata is sacred because it leads to this celebration.
