How to write good essay in UPSC CSE Main Examination (Brainstorming)
You have to write essay around 1200 words.
1. Understand the topic
2. Start your essay either with Historical event/ Story/ Case study/ Quote.
3. All paragraph should be connected with each other. (1/n)
4. You can add different dimensions in essay (Political, Economical, Social, Environmental, S&T, Women and Elderly, Global)
5. Try to link your essay with weaker sections like women, Tribals, elderly etc.
6. In between you can add few quotes of personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Dr B R Ambedkar, Buddha, Barak Obama etc.
7. Try to write your essay in simple language without any spelling mistakes and overwriting.
8. If demand is there then you can add both positive and negative sides.
(For ex in Science and Technology related topics you can add both positive aspects and negative aspects of Science.
Postive: empowerment, economic growth, human development, health, Exports
Negative: Environmental , wars, crimes)
9. To add more relevant content you can add recent examples like Work done by Nandurbar collector, Commisioner of BMC (Mumbai) during Covid. Tribals of Odisha for water conservation..
10. Avoid to write any controversial events , political ideology related conttent in essay.
