A very interesting poem by Frost. Know something. You've chosen the path less traveled by. This is going to make a huge difference
Hi all
All the very best for those who are writing mains this year.

I don't want to put more pressure in this time.

I had a big pressure during the last two days before exam.

It is very natural.
Even though we studied a lot , we couldn't remember now,
Still feel , a lot to be completed.

Essay or GS which one to focus
All u have at this moment.

Follow what your heart says.
Follow your institution.

Be bold and confident.
If u don't know anything in any question , no one knows.
So that is not an competition question at all.remaining is the game.

* do the known area well.
* try to manage the unknown area.
* keep ur watch n have chocolate and water bottle.
Try to complete 50% by 1.30 hrs.

Rest will take care.

Heard that raining in Chennai.
So better use metro or cab,
Reach the centre as early as possible.
Take your friend along with you if possible.
Because I felt comfortable when I have friends with me.

Don't discuss after the exam.
Hardly two hrs for next exam.
So focus on the afternoon exam.
All the best.
All your hardwork will pay definitely 💐💐💐💐💐
A lot of people were asking me that if there's any free coaching institute. So sharing Jamia Milia Islamia coaching at New Delhi.
This is available only in New Delhi through a national level entrance test. They provide free coaching + residential facilities. Interested students can apply and gte the benefits
There's one more Zakat foundation for Muslim aspirants. Many of friends in service have benefited.
Friends writing their mains, few last minute tips.

1. Essay - Create the structure of both essays first and then write. What people, especially first timers do is that they overthink in the first essay and underperform the second. Give equal time

2. GS - Attempt each and every question. Don't miss any. Start from the 11th question and complete the 15 markers first. Then 1 to 10th. Have a digital watch with you such that you've the trace of every second. Because every second counts in Mains. Leaving any page empty is a sin and crime.

3. Ethics - do the case studies first. Think well and give a PRACTICAL solution. Don't be too idealistic.

4. Isolate yourself from the rest of the world. I know most of you would have stopped using any social media. Continue with that.
General tips

1. Reach the exam centre before an hour.

2. Have a very healthy but light breakfast. Prefer oats or corn flakes. Also carry chocolates. They'll help you to beat the hunger even in between the exam.

3. Carry some juice but don't drink water before the exam much. You may be forced to use washroom which may take away precious few mins. So limit your liquid intake.

4. Don't discuss your answers with anyone. Just go there, write the exam and come back.

5. Carry extra pens. I used trimax for the exam. It gave a good physical appeal in the paper.

6. Have a very limited lunch. Heavy lunch may put you in a lazy mode.

7. Check the weather reports, especially people in chennai and South India. It's raining. Be careful.

8. When you see the question paper you'll find 2-3 googly questions on which you won't have much idea. Don't panic. Take few minutes to think out of a very Generalistic answer. Don't write anything stupid or blunder. Just a general answer. For example - last year there was a question on chaitanya mahaprabhu of Bhakti movement. Though I had absolutely no idea about Chaitanya, yet I could fill 3 pages writing a general answer.

9. Don't do anything stupid in the paper like revealing your identity anywhere. You'll be penalised. This year I saw people getting penalised upto 25 marks and losing their selection. So don't act stupid.

10. Be ready to face anything in the exam hall. There'll be loudspeakers blazing, traffic sounds etc. Be prepared mentally. You can't give an excuse that there was too much noise or my bench was shaky or there was no electricity. Most of you ppl will be writing exams in govt schools and within city limits. So face it.

11. If your school is in a remote part of the city or somewhere not well connected then go today to have a look at it. Tomorrow you won't feel lost or panic.

Finally, this day, for which you've been waiting for long has arrived finally. Give the best and let God be with you.

These are the reasons given by UPSC for imposing penalties. Avoid them.
