e (long question)(he was indirectly referring to killing of Iranian Revolutionary Guards Chief, but didn't say explicitly). How ethical is that? (I said sir it depends on who is being killed, told if it is terrorist then it is ethical) (Here he wanted specific keyword which I didn't mention, hence he framed next Q)
4. What would have been pros and cons if we had used drone instead of manned aircraft in Balakote airstrike (I talked about 2 pros, but before I could start cons, he cut me short and mentioned what about collateral damage (this is the word he wanted in previous answer it seems) - killing of civilians - I said sir, that issue can be taken care if we design drones with more precision.
5. How will you use your E&C knowledge in civil service (talked about smart irrigation if get opportunity to work in agri department, work for technology transfer from countries like USA, Israel if in IFS, use of e-governance etc.)
6. You worked in this company for few months. What was your work? I told about iPhone network chip project which I was part of, then told about some features, but highlighted we were only designing, but fabrication is done in Taiwan.
CH:
Mr. X, is it your photo? He was showing it from some long distance, but I was able to see, I said yes sir, he asked me are you confident or just making out from there, I said I am confident, then ma'am sitting besides me asked me to go near bassi sir to check photo, I went and again he asked - I said yes sir, this is my photo only.
Thank you. Your interview is over.
Duration was almost 30 minutes. Overall feeling average though I was confident through out, but questions were long, I was not able to bring out specific keywords which they had in their mind. I might have missed some questions. Also did one factual mistake, which I don't know how board will consider.

: Don't you think more revenue generating things are given to centre and areas where more work is needed is given to states? How can we reconcile this?
(Said that it is a balanced division. Spoke about national issues needing a concerted effort vs decentralisation, bottom up approach, etc)
LM: How can states address the finance gap?
(Spoke about gst, compensation cess and states own revenue through gst excluded products including alcohol)
LM: okay so say that states can have tax through alcohol. So on one hand you are saying alcohol is bad and then state is also selling alcohol. Isn't there a paradox?
(Spoke about democratic state respecting individual's freedom of choice and how prohibition would lead to blackmarkets and spurious liquor which will have even more detrimental impact on health. Plus need for value education, behavioural change etc)
LM: okay then what about drugs? (She was smiling and laughing in a cordial way)
(Drugs are extremely addictive, can spur violence resulting in social chaos).
CH: You said people are not happy in China. And that they have no freedom. What is the source of this information?
(Mentioned about general perception, death of Doctor who warned about covid, poor labour laws etc)
CH: What you are saying is propaganda How did china grow ? What policy in the 60s did they undertake?
( Talked about Deng Xiaping in 70s and focus on manufacturing)
CH: china grew because of land reforms that they initiated in 1950s. And their policy on education. Mao said that the rate of growth in education must be more than the rate of growth of GDP. Even to this day they follow this.
Me: I will definitely read more about it sir. I had no idea about these reforms.
CH: I take your answer. But you must learn to not take things at face value. I'm telling this because you are a teacher. One must learn to respect our enemy. But otherwise we are happy to have a humanities student. Thank you your interview is over.

te and concurrent list.
LM
Thank you your interview is over.

le all seemed the
same. The only way to know is your quality of voice)
M4: In East Delhi, let us assume there is a problem of riot which can take place any time. As a DCP, how will you tackle it?
Me: Sir, can I take a few seconds to think?
M4: yes, you can.
Me: ( after a few seconds..) Sir, firstly, I will make sure that there is no intelligence failure. I will make sure information is available even from the bottom level of beat constables who are active at ground level
Secondly, i will make sure sufficient force is available to tackle any unforeseen events which can happen and prevent essential services from being disrupted
Thirdly, We can take help of technology like drones to check any suspicious activities in hotspot areas….
M4: okay, okay and tell me about legal actions which you can take
Me: Sir, I can take help of different provisions under IPC and CrPc to control the situation. I may even control gathering of more than five people if law and order situation is under threat.
M4: okay ( he was satisfied with my reply)
Chairperson again:
(i am not sure whether she asked one or two questions....before coming to the final question)
CP: Analyzer, do you want us to cover something which you think we can discuss?
Me: (i thought for a few seconds) Ma’am we can discuss vaccination.
CP: Okay, tell me why there is hesitancy for vaccines?
Me: Ma’am because of a number of reasons. Firstly, there are reports and cases about adverse reactions in some cases. Secondly, some people are unaware about the positive effects of vaccine
CP: what is herd immunity?
Me: Ma’am, herd immunity refers to a scenario when some people in a community are infected say 40-60 %. Due to which infection say, virus spread in an epidemic/pandemic , do not spread aggressively, thereby protecting other people from infection and thus breaking chain of transmission
CP: Okay analyzer, your interview is over, you can go
Me: Thankyou ma’am.
( i stood up nodded again, thanked other members with a nod and left)
Negatives:
Member 3 was not satisfied
Sometimes sujhata maam was inaudible.
Answers could have been better in some questions
Positives:
Not for a single time i had to touch either my mask or shield, no problem of fog and all. I was comfortable with both mask and shield
Member 1, 2 and 4 were satisfied
Sujata maam nodded all the time to my response so she was interested in the interview despite of a flat tv behind me :)
I answered only after thinking on the question raised, in almost 3 questions, i even took permission of the members to think for few seconds before answering and not a single time they refused.
Overall, it was better than last year, but let's see how the future unfolds :)
