V = Violet
I = Indigo
B = Blue
G = Green
Y = Yellow
O = Orange
R = Red

लाल रंग के प्रकाश तरंग में सबसे अधिक प्रकाश संश्लेषण होता है।
प्रकाश कम होने पर प्रकाश संश्लेषण की दर भी घट जाती है।यही कारण है की, बदल व् कोहरे के कारण प्रकाश संश्लेषण कम हो जाता है, जिसके कारण पौधों में भोजन निर्माण की क्रिया भी मंद पड़ जाती है।
