How have I lived for so many years without a thermostat? Finally bought one for a tiny price, and finally the question of "it's too hot" and "it's too cold" became much less severe, in addition to the fact values other than "highest power" on the heater finally started to make sense (lower power values on the heater flatten the temperature "saw plot").
