Been trying to get the word out about horseradish for awhile now, this is a great find.
An enzyme in horseradish can successfully break down graphene oxide! ☢️

Scientists have found that an enzyme found in horseradish called horseradish peroxidase can successfully break down graphene oxide. The summary of the study states: "In the presence of low concentrations of hydrogen peroxide (∼40 μM), HRP catalyzed the oxidation of graphene oxide, resulting in the formation of holes in its base plane. During the same analysis period, HRP could not oxidize chemically reduced graphene oxide (RGO)." It appears that horseradish peroxidase acts on graphene oxide, but not on reduced graphene oxide.
