If you love to engage in philosophical conversations, your biggest bias will be to assume that everyone else around you is also invested into finding the truth.

People really don't care about their existence. All they want is just a little bit of money and pleasure. That's enough to satisfy them.

I can't sleep well if I don't understand the mechanics of the entire universe.

For most people they care about the opportunity cost wasted in talking about philosophy which could have been used to make money, girls etc other survival matters.

Although that's important, those are the side aspects of your life, they are not the main thing.

Get your priorities straight.

Feww...

These days I am not hell bend on producing content.

Sometimes incredible insights come into my conscience, and you know what I do?

I let it go.

Forget it forever.

If she wants, she will come back. Else she goes away.

Counterintuitively, this has given me even bigger insights the next time.

I don't even need to sit & meditate. Just sit silently and these things will just appear infront of me. Sometimes I may be even listening to a podcast.

The mistake I did earlier is that I was overly keen on producing good content. I would jump of to immediately jolt down whatever ideas I had. This made getting awesome ideas hard.

Here is what I missed: Your intuition is like a shy hot girl above your league.
If you give it too much attention you will come off as needy and she will run away.

Instead when she comes, be cool about it. She may leave, even better one will come.

Resist your temptation to record everything.

Somethings are better forgotten.

If you are dealing with the screens too often as a part of your job.

1. Remember to blink often, especially men.

Forget to blink and it will hurt your eyes.

2. Look at things far away from time to time. Atleast a couple of times a day.
Else your eyes will get conditioned to be short sighted (myopia).

Keep your screens at sufficient distance away from your eyes. Don't bend your neck for the screens. Instead raise the screens.

3. No screen before bed.
As hard as it is, it's important for a quality sleep.

Even if you are exhausted, simply sit/stand in the dark with all lights off before bed.

Even doing it for 10 min makes a difference. Resist wanting to hit bed immediately after closing your laptop.

Standing alone in the dark is such a purifying experience.

Listening to soothing music also helps with sleep.

Most importantly no abstract philosophical thoughts about the existence of the universe before bed.

You will lose sleep and the universe.

Clear thinking needs quality sleep.
The curse of teaching.

If you want to learn to drive a car, you need a person who is good at driving. Not an F1 racer.

Only the former can teach well, because he knows what it is to not know, ie relate to you.

Truth definitively exists.

There is no running away from the idea of truth, that truth may not even exist at all.

You can choose to ignore it.
But it won't ignore you.

There is a cost to not being in touch with truth.

Understand till you get can't get anything wrong not until you get it right
Keep your highest goals and aspirations secret.

Talk about them after you achieve it. Not before.

Openly talking about your goals and letting people know about it gives you a false sense of your goal being a reality.

Especially if it's soul draining work with high emotional labour involved, I recommend you keep your goals a secret.

You have all the time in the world to talk about it *after* you have achieved it.

Here is what you should do once you have Learned a technique:

Forget about them.

Yes. If you put proper effort into learning it in the first place, then your body should remember it.
It has a memory of it's own.

You should be able to enjoy the fruits of your results without having to recall/remember anything.

Do you recall how exactly you Learned to write the alphabets when you were at kindergarten.

It was a painful and gruelling process & each step of writing the alphabets & numbers had to be showed to you.

But now it comes naturally to you. Same with learning to drive a car or bicycle.

This is how you integrate techniques into a part of your system.

To truly observe

Is to become a Detached Rational

Dispassionate observer of life itself

So that you may see the things, as they are

Gradually, you will feel

That life bends to your will, my friends

Understanding is a greater set compared to manipulation.

Manipulators understand only to the extend that they can manipulate. They are unaware of the underlying mechanism.

This is why I stress you to actually understand what the fuck is actually going on.

You will be well equipped to manipulate & even save yourself from manipulators as and when required.

With that said you should manipulate reality only when absolutely necessary.

Else just lay back and enjoy the beauty without making yourself miserable.
Silence is absolute and eternal.

It's not the absence of noise, rather noise is superimposed on silence, which is there forever.
Care your eyes:

Keep sufficient distance from the screen.
Don't look down, bring the screen up.

Remember to BLINK!
Don't stare straight at screens for long.

Look at far away objects at every opportunity (to prevent myopia).

Appreciate sights seen with closed eyes.

If life feels hard and difficult for you, then you are doing something fundamentally wrong right at the structural level.

The best solution to this is to take the WEEKEND COMPLETELY OFF.

Just chill out and rest on your chair.

While you are doing so, introspect and find out exactly what you are doing wrong.

Most probably you are manipulating yourself without even knowing it.

Whatever it is, rest and find out what you are doing it wrong.

What I don't recommend is wasting even your weekends with entertainment which is still a lot of work.

True rest is just sitting on your chair doing nothing.
๐Ÿ‘1
Not being able to rest and let go, is a sign that your monkey isn't allowing you to rest.

It's constantly wanting to do things all the time.

The most important piece of not rushing is to solidify the proper neural circuits.

When you start something new, the instinct is to just get it done. Nobody likes the painful slow repetition of mistakes.

But that's how you correct your form.

Myelinate the best neural circuits.

The brain looks for efficiency - evolutionarily we're wired to conserve calories.

That's why myelination occurs: to make a sense of muscle memory or habit for repeated neural circuits firing.

So when you rush and repeat that, it tries to make your shitty process more efficient.

When you're learning a new instrument, or starting a new hobby, or learning a new skill, it's painful to actually learn the proper techniques.

It seems faster to just do what feels natural. But that's just because there are similar neural circuits already myelinated.

It's weak.

Going slowly seems difficult.

Repeating that part of the song you can't get right seems frustrating. You just want to fly through it.

Same with code or lifting or anything.

But that's how you correct which neural circuits get myelinated.

Go slowly, then you'll fly as a master!
