Tension resides in the body, and manifests externally as stress, anxiety & even pain. This tension is usually instigated by thoughts. The more intensely the thoughts are believed, the more powerful they become within the body. Yoga relieves tension from the mind, meditation relieves tension from the mind. Every other thing is just a form of distraction, though they may help.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to sit in a crossed leg position with your eyes closed to meditate. Meditation is as simple as mentally scanning your entire body, and this you can do anytime. The key (hard part) is to 'remember' to do it.

Always revert attention to the pressure points in your body like the neck, hips, wrists, throat & ankles. Whenever you're sitting or lying down scrolling, just do a quick inner scan. Wherever you feel tightness or tension - note it & relax it Practice this consistently. The metric is increasing the number of times you remember to remember during the day. Again, just remembering & noting is good enough. Also be aware of the thoughts & actions that trigger them. With time you'll start feeling lighter, calmer & more alive...

Conscious relationships

How to conduct yourself perfectly in a relationship is one of the subjects that peak my interests.

It's far too obvious that people fail miserably in relationships especially in the case of marriages. People move from one failure to another failure.

Relationships are a true test of your consciousness and maturity. Even sufficiently psychologically developed people would fail to truly and intimacy connect with their spouse.

One reason for this is that you come with a shit load of agendas & expectations into that marriage. They themselves don't like to work to the expectations while forcing the other to meet the expectations that you have set for them.

One fundamental thing that could make a difference is to behave like children in marriage.
Not to be childish/immature, but to bring in a sense of comfort and joy to the other instead of holding them to a standard, while also fulfilling your entrusted responsibilities.

Less "using them" vs
more enjoying *with them*.

That's a topic for another day. But even before marrying someone, or even before getting into a relationship with them, you should know everything about them.

You are literally Living with one person and having sex with one person for the rest of your life. Do not be naive fooled by oxytocin driven stupidity. (Especially to men).

Be extremely pragmatic and go into microscopic details regarding your views/expectations/past/beliefs of your partner. You should also have complete disclosure.

Listen to Prof Sam Vaknin explain it to you in detail:

The masses are always enthralled by rhetoric.

Rhetoric = language designed to have a persuasive or impressive effect, but which is often regarded as lacking in sincerity or meaningful content.

Notice the internal inkling that you have to attach yourself to these empty words. They are usually polarizing/motivational/edgy in nature.

More often than not, the person saying them does not truly believe in them. They are putting on a show, which will end up in gross self delusion, leading to a delusional mass of people.
πŸ‘9
Stay away from consuming content that isn't educational.

If it isn't challenging your mind, then the chances are that it's slowly rotting it.

Solitude is liberating and addictive; Free of judgements. Free from expectations. Free from wearing a mask. Your true self emerges.

You can be β€œyou” without the fear of jeopardy.

The way you behave when alone is the most correct representation of your true personality. All bounds are lose, the shadow doesn’t need to be restrained anymore.

As long as you have something to gain or lose from the transaction, you cannot, be at your serene best.
Morality, Holy books, Second Amendment, 69th amendment...

None of these should be the basis of forming your political leanings...

Just look at reality and evaluate for yourself how you can

1) maximize the Goodness and
2) minimise the Devilry & Suffering.

Do not bear any commitment to ideology or belief systems.

Doing that is only manufacturing suffering within yourself and others.

Try giving up on your belief systems, labels, and ideas you hold near and dear to you.

Nothing will collapse without your baggage supporting it.

If you are doing highly creative or intellectually demanding tasks,

you will always underestimate the amount of time you need to complete it.

You will end up needing more time than you initially allotted for it.

Just allow it to happen and work at a higher intensity.

The greatest executioners in every domain are not those who have most knowledge but those who can execute with extreme calm in a highly stressful situation.

Mastery over mind is preliminary to mastery over craft.

Notice that the current experience is devoid of any meaning.

It just is.

Grasp the meaninglessness of it.

It doesn't provide you any "given" or "facts".

All "facts" you had to learn from somebody else, be it society, school, family etc.

Ultimately Reality is pure Qualia.

Even to suggest that it's a Qualia, i.e. quality, virtue of itself is already adding a lot of baggage of meaning to it.

Just observe reality and deeply appreciate the lack of context.

You are just here.

You have to be disciplined and grounded yourself, but the actual learning process must be undisciplined, chaotic and dynamic as possible.

Do not be conservative in your learning curve.

Break and disrupt all existing models. Dig deeper.

Comparison with others will turn into misery only if you are too lazy to put in the work to bridge the gap between your state and their state.

People in general compare with others and never do work to reach their stage, wonder why they feel like shit.

A Tibetan Lama was speaking to a group of monks.

To make a point, pulled out a large jar, set it on the table in front of him, produced a few fist-sized rocks, and placed them, one by one, into the jar.

When no more rocks would fit inside, he asked:

β€œIs this jar full?”

Everyone said: β€œYes.”

He reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel, dumped some in and shook the jar, the gravel worked between the rocks.

Again, he asked: β€œIs this jar full?”

The monks were catching on.

β€œProbably not,” one answered.

β€œGood!” he replied and reached under the table and brought out a bucket of sand.

He dumped the sand into the jar until it filled all the crevices.

Once more he asked: β€œIs this jar full?”

β€œNo!” the monks shouted. β€œGood!” he said and grabbed a pitcher of water
and poured it until the jar was filled to the brim.

Then he asked, β€œWhat is the point of this illustration?”

One young monk responded,

β€œThe point is, no matter how full your day you can always fit some more things in.”

β€œNo,” the speaker replied, β€œthe point is that if you don’t put the big rocks
in first, you’ll never get them in at all.

Great things are rarely achieved after following an instruction manual which tells you exactly
"how to" do something.

"How to" manuals are only available for simple tasks which many people have done over and over again, and perfected by trial and error.

There exists no pre-existing book which tells you what exactly to do.

Embrace the chaos and authoritatively impose order.

No chaos, no growth.

Observe and act based on principles & guidelines.

Abandoning principles is not a wise move since chaos will get the better of you.

The best things are simple, but creating simple things is not easy

Your society, state and family are experts in crafting a fake sense of safety which will keep you passive, and a feeling that all will be fine in the end.

Then they will put you into avenues which serves the lowest common denominator, and hence quite shitty.

You are alone in this world and you have to figure out everything yourself directly with first hand experiences. Take suggestions, diligently listen, and then carve out your own unique path.

Life is a chess board. Only you make the decisions and face the consequences.

You cannot cheat.
❀11πŸ‘2
There is no such thing that is "complicated".

Either you find it difficult to explain or it's difficult to understand.

Most things are simple.

Doing simple things is not easy.

Doing simple things effortlessly is the sign of a true master.
