Perched on a steep 100% slope, this house by Raúl Sanchez Architects blends seamlessly with its slate rock terrain in Spain.
Designed to minimize excavation, it lightly touches the ground, supported by concrete screens that act as structural “legs.” The upper-level entry presents a sleek, hermetic volume, while below, a cantilevered staircase leads to a spacious terrace and kitchen-dining area with large sliding windows.
The design fosters a fluid indoor-outdoor connection, with trees brushing the façades and valley views enhancing every space, creating a harmonious dialogue with nature.

Pichak Commercial-Office Building, Shiraz
The Pichak project, located in Shiraz’s car-centric Moalem Square, reimagines urban connection. Designed as a fluid, ivy-like form, it weaves from the city’s fabric through the building to its roof, blending architecture with the urban context. Prioritizing human experience, it focuses on movement, light, surfaces, and perception over static form. This dynamic, open space engages users, creating a layered, intentional environment that interacts with Shiraz’s bustling surroundings.
