The building is divided into two parts: a terraced stone base for various community use and an upper volume shaped like an abstracted ark that holds the main sanctuary.
A circular atrium brings in light and leads visitors into the worship space, which opens toward the landscape.
The design addresses site challenges, religious diversity and the need for a visible public presence.

Perched on a steep 100% slope, this house by Raúl Sanchez Architects blends seamlessly with its slate rock terrain in Spain.
Designed to minimize excavation, it lightly touches the ground, supported by concrete screens that act as structural “legs.” The upper-level entry presents a sleek, hermetic volume, while below, a cantilevered staircase leads to a spacious terrace and kitchen-dining area with large sliding windows.
The design fosters a fluid indoor-outdoor connection, with trees brushing the façades and valley views enhancing every space, creating a harmonious dialogue with nature.
