A new church in Julong sits at the base of a mountain, designed for a growing and diverse Christian community.
The building is divided into two parts: a terraced stone base for various community use and an upper volume shaped like an abstracted ark that holds the main sanctuary.
A circular atrium brings in light and leads visitors into the worship space, which opens toward the landscape.
The design addresses site challenges, religious diversity and the need for a visible public presence.
