The New Taipei City Art Museum will open in April 2025, featuring an innovative design with 3,166 silver-white reed-like aluminum tubes. The architecture, inspired by local history and culture, blends modern and futuristic elements.
Designed by Kris Yao of Artech Architects, the museum has been in development since 2015 and will officially open in 2025. It aims to create a public art space combining landscape renovation, lifestyle aesthetics, cultural tourism, and technological innovation.
To celebrate, the museum will open its "Outdoor Park" on April 15, extending the main exhibition space with areas like the "Art Neighborhood" and the "Dome Art Space." Nine public art pieces will also be displayed around the park.
The ground level features an "Art Village" with art districts and sculpture terraces, creating an open public art space. Visitors can explore nearby cafes, workshops, and restaurants.
