Three Museums, One Square The project Three Museums One Square offers an opportunity to express the city of Guangzhou's culture, background and innovation by creating a state-of-the art cultural cluster in a park-like setting.
The landscape is comprised of various elements which connect the major north-south axis of the central park to the variety of urban condition which surround the site.
Natural elements such as the Pearl River and the canal are connected to modern and historic cultural heritage sites, such as the Pagoda, preserved regions of the TIT zone, and museums through a network of courtyard spaces and allees, which take on different functions depending on their proximity to different urban programs.
The canal, which is already a popular recreational site for locals, acts as the central focus for the entry into the park, with a series of water plazas and a small wetland basin, marking the entry into the park.

The reign of Queen Zewditu Menlik began on October 22, 1923. Menlik's daughter Zewditu started the work to carve and install a monument in Germany to commemorate her father, but she was not lucky enough to see her dream come true as she passed away on March 22, 1922.
However, her dream came true during the reign of Haile Selassie, and stood in the place where it stands today with great splendor.
On the statue, Emperor Menelik is seen wearing a robe, full of anbar, with a sword in his hand, sitting on his horse, "Aba Dangew", and is seen majestically.
The statue is made of copper and designed by Carl Haertel, a German architect. The horse on which the king rides is called Aba Dangew, and his face faces north towards Adwa, where the battle of Adwa took place.
The height of the statue is more than the natural physical size, and "Aba Dangew" can be seen standing with his hind legs facing north and his front legs raised.
Happy “victory of adwa” day!
