Polyurethane foam, also known as expanding foam, is a two-component, mix-in-the-bag expanding foam used to support non-structural posts such as fences, mailboxes, and signposts.
This two-part, pre portioned polyurethane expanding foam has been designed to be lightweight, mix-in-the-bag, and fast-setting. It was developed in the 1930s for the military and aviation industries, but it is also used for insulation and fence post installation.
Because it generates less waste, expanding foam is considered more environmentally friendly than concrete. It also sets and cures quickly (in less than 15 minutes) and is suitable for use in cold temperatures. Expanding foam is also lightweight and ideal for do-it-yourself projects because it does not require mixing.
