The design of the Quadrant House was based on the desire for a home that reacts to its environment. The project’s standout feature is a kinetic terrace that was designed to move with the path of the sun. Depending on the season, it regulates the amount of sunlight entering the adjacent spaces, providing desired shade in the summer and allowing for more sunlight during the winter.

The Datong Art Museum is one of four new buildings at the cultural plaza and sunken into the ground.
Corten steel will create a roof that weathers over time, while a series of skylights will direct strips of natural light into the galleries within.

Construction is underway at Datong Art Museum – China’s ‘Museum of the 21st Century’. The museum opened in 2013 to represent China in the ‘Beyond the Building’ Basel Art international tour.
The 32,000-square-metre venue is one of four major new buildings within Datong New City’s cultural plaza. Its centrepiece is the Grand Gallery, a heroically scaled, top-lit exhibition space measuring 37 metres high and spanning almost 80 metres, in which artists will be commissioned to create large-scale works of art.
Externally, the building’s form is conceived as an erupted landscape. The entire museum is sunk into the ground.

አዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የፀረ-ፕላጃሪዝም (Anti-Plagiarism) ፖሊሲ ከየካቲት 22/2012 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ ሊተገብር መሆኑን በይፋ እየገለጸ ይህ ፖሊሲ ተግባራዊ የሚሆን ሲሆን በፖሊሲው መሰረት ከዚህ በኋላ ማንኛውም መመረቂያ ጽሁፍ (Thesis/Dissertation) በኧርከንድ (URKUND) ሶፍትዌር አማካኝነት ተመርምሮ ከፕላጃሪዝም ነፃ መሆኑ ሳይረጋገጥ ዲግሪ እንደማይሰጥ ያሳውቃል፡፡
ፕላጃሪዝም አንድ የምረቃ ፅሁፍ የሚያዘጋጅ ወይም የምርምር ስራ የሚሰራ ሰው ሌሎች ሰዎች የሰሩትን ስራ የራሱ እንደሆነ አድርጎ በመውሰድ የአካዳሚክ እና የምርምር ሕግጋትን በመጣስ የሚፈፅመው ሕገወጥ ተግባር ነው፡፡
ፕላጃሪዝም ተማሪዎች የመመረቂያ ጽሁፍ በሚያዘጋጁበት ጊዜ በራሳቸው ጥረት እና ልፋት የራሳቸው የሆነ (original) ስራ ሰርተው እንዳያቀርቡ በማድረግ ዩኒቨርሲቲው ጥራትን ለማረጋገጥ በሚያደርገው ጥረት ላይ ትልቅ ጉዳት ሲያደርግ የቆየ ሕገወጥ ተግባር ነው፡፡ ቀደም ሲል የዩኒቨርሲቲው ሴኔት ፕላጃሪዝም በመጠቀም የመመረቂያ ጽሁፉን በማዘጋጀት 2ኛ ዲግሪ ወስዶ ከነበረ ተማሪ ላይ ድርጊቱ በማስረጃ በማረጋገጡ በሴኔት ሕጉ መሰረት ዲግሪው እንዲነጠቅ አድርጓል፡፡ ስለሆነም ዩኒቨርሲቲው ይህ ችግር በመማር ማስተማሩና በምርምር ስራ ላይ በየጊዜው እያስከተለ ያለው አሉታዊ ተፅእኖ ከጊዜ ወደ ጊዜ እየጨመረ መምጣቱን በመገንዘቡ የፀረ-ፕላጃሪዝም ፖሊሲ ማውጣት አስፈላጊ ሆኖ አግኝቶታል፡፡ በመሆኑም ይህ ፖሊሲ ተግባራዊ ሲሆን ችግሩ ከሞላ ጎደል ይቃለላል የሚል ሙሉ እምነት አለው፡፡
