In Jutland’s vibrant Herning, this 98,000 sq ft campus houses 84 young apprentices (18-28) for ~4.5 years, tackling the shortage of skilled tradespeople like plumbers & carpenters. Beyond affordable housing, it offers workshops for evening/weekend skill-building with mentors.
Born from a 2021 design comp (outshining C.F. Møller & Schmidt Hammer Lassen), this “floating island” in a windy, wetland site blends with lakes and heathland. A beacon of craft & sustainability! 🌍

We are seeking 20 motivated volunteers from Unity University to collaborate with us at this early stage, explore creativity, and help build exciting content from the ground up.
