Danish architecture studio EFFEKT has built a helical tower that invites you to climb up above the treetops of the Gisselfeld Klosters Forest in Denmark.
The 45-metre-high tower forms part of Denmark's largest climbing park, Camp Adventure, located an hour's drive south of Copenhagen.
It is the culmination of a 900-metre-long woodland walkway that weaves between a series of climbing courses, offering visitors a 360-degree view over the trees, hills, lakes and meadows that make up the natural landscape.

Urban planning and racism
Systemic racism has been reinforced in many ways since the abolition of slavery. Federal departments actually classified neighborhoods on a scale of "hazardous", which would determine the likelihood of approving loans in those areas. But "hazardous" usually meant that the neighborhoods were comprised of mostly black residents.
Lines were drawn around these areas coining the term "redlining". Redlining reinforced overt racism and negative stereotypes through segregation. We are fighting a system that has divested from our black communities for this country's entire history. The first step to changing a system is learning the system's deep and extremely damaging past. How can we be more socially conscious in urban planning and design?

Bisate reflects the innate organic culture of Rwanda and reflects sophisticated spaces around every turn. Craftily designed the spherical rooms and public areas add bespoke and sustainable solutions to the intricate and difficult surroundings.
